So sometimes you just have a feeling that someplace is going to be good and grub was that place. The ribs are what got me there. And they were delicious. Super tender and moist. The brisket was so tender it was like a roast. Thin sliced and pulled apart easy. The slaw was great and much different than what you would normally find. Nice touch adding the banana bread to balance the slaw. The sauce was sweet and smoky which was perfect for the meat. The space is really cool with lots of neat stuff on the walls. The bar had a couple of local drafts that were citrus based but really nice with the meal.

Absolutely loved this place. It’s new and the spin on healthy BBQ didn’t disappoint. It was refreshing to have a cucumber salad with my mojo pork sandwich. My wife got the chicken salad and it was great as well. I wish I got the ladies name that worked at the bar but she was a breath of fresh air from all the rudeness that comes from most of the people on the island. She helped us picked out some great “gRub”. Will definitely make this a must go every vacation year to the island. Only negative is the parking sucks on pine Ave and AMI just keeps eliminating parking. Just ride the trolley or take a nice walk if you’re close enough. We got there at the perfect time and parked our golf cart right out front. This is a definite go because it’s not something traditional, it’s a different spin on BBQ

A really great place. The inside is comfortable and very nice. The ribs are fantastic, and I really, really loved the sauce–it has a sweet and sour vibe. The banana pudding was sweetened just right, and delicate. This is a wonderful addition to Anna Maria Island, and I look forward to coming back again soon.

Awesome, awesome place! The food here was great. We tried the brisket empanada as recommended, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Qben with coconut cream corn as my side. It was excellent. The waves on the bar, made by epoxy, is a great effect, too! Very nice staff and quick service.

My husband and I used gRub Tropical BBQ for our May 2023 wedding and absolutely loved it! We had been to the island twice before to try the food and it was great every time. Ben was a pleasure to work with! He answered all of our questions and took care of our last minute requests. 🙂

My boyfriend and I stopped by this past weekend and I will say the service was great, really fast and friendly. Now the food, was terrible. I got the Bimini bay Bahn mi, it tasted like liquid smoke, gross. Couldn’t even get through 2 bites. My boyfriend got the Cuben and it was eh. Ended up going to the general store for better sandwiches.
