Great hot dogs. A very eclectic menu of hot dogs. Toppings that seem like they shouldn’t be on hot dogs but surprise you and make amazing dogs. Make sure you have napkins. The toppings are plentiful! You order at the counter, and they serve you there. Seat yourself. A little difficult for a wheelchair.

Y’all, this is such a cute place. The girls working are so sweet and personable. We had The Grumpy, The Grouchy, and The Southern. These were the best hot dogs we’ve ever had. The chili, pimento cheese, and sour kraut were perfect. Adding the potato sticks to the chilli and pimento cheese is ingenious. A word of advice, these dogs are loaded with toppings. If you are traveling, sit in the dining room to eat. We will definitely be stopping again on our travels.

Everyone told me I had to go to Grumpy Dog while in Wetumpka. I’m not a big fan of hotdogs, but I ordered the Chicago dog and it was very good. So was the service and price. It was a beautiful day, so I sat on the patio looking out at downtown Wetumpka. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this local landmark and favorite.

Small place. Good food. Chicken in the salad sandwich was a bit tough. I can not eat beef due to allergies. All dogs are beef. Hubby and friends had dogs.
