Great place for healthy food at reasonable prices. Had the crab soup cup you start then the prime rib with two sides, mash potatoes and green beans. Just what you need when travelling for work! Nice cosy atmosphere with the fire and soft lighting. Friendly staff.

Where do I start, first off we had encountered a long eight hour trip from Boston. We work for a huge tech company so we travel a lot as a group. We stumbled upon this bar from looking at reviews which we always do before go anywhere. We walked through the door at about 8:40 which is normal for us. We weren’t loud, rude, or mean to anyone when we walked in. We all stood at the front waiting for service as instructed by the restaurant. No one came and greeted us instead, a regular at the bar came to us and stated that the kitchen was close and that if we were hungry we could go to the Applebee’s up the street. We of course not really worrying about food decided to just have a few drinks at the bar. The looks we got from the regulars was pretty evident that we did not belong in the bar. We ignored it and proceeded to sit down anyways. We came in with about ten plus people ready to spend at least 100 dollars between all of us which is normal for us. We received no service but instead was ignored by every bartender who worked on 8/14/2023. After about ten minutes we decided to leave and go elsewhere. Look I won’t say it’s a racist bar but what happened last night made me think otherwise. If you are a Black American please be aware of this bar they don’t care about the money on your skin color.

If you want great food this is the place to go! Flame grilled steaks and burgers, homemade crab cakes, and a nice selection to choose from on the menu. Bar atmosphere is lively and entertaining and the dining area is roomy and very pleasant. Service is great and the prices are reasonable. Win win every time at Grumpy’s!

Walked in at 8:30, was informed by a patron, NOT a bartender that the kitchen was closing soon so no food orders. Okay cool I’ll just get a drink…stood at bar for 30 minutes with my card out in my hand making constant eye contact with bartenders..2 different bartenders looked at me and kept going about their business. Never acknowledged me or asked if I wanted anything. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be coming back. Hospitality should still exist and it’s a shame I wasn’t even greeted with a hello. I hope it was a busy issue and not because I’m black.

Don’t let the slightly rundown appearance of associated cheap motel scare you away – the food and service here is really good. Huge variety on menu and great, attentive service. Hot roast beef sandwich and chickwn quesidillas were generous portioned and very good. Kind of a Shoney meets a bar feel but the food is pretty good. Recommended.

Food was excellent. Their crab dip was fantastic, one of the best I have ever had. Service was very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasing. The only down side was the out side needs a good repaint, peeling paint on the front door isn’t very appealing. The men’s restroom was clean enough, but the toilet paper dispenser hanging off the was as well as the door handle falling off shows signs of neglect. Have a feeling that this is more on the hotel than the restaurant.
