Wonderful food, seafood is the best around. Family owned and comfortable establishment.

Service was very friendly if a little slow. The menu is varied but true to theme–low country seafood. I love that we were able to order off the lunch menu at dinner. The portions are generous. The food was just a little under seasoned for my taste. I will definitely come back again and try something fresh before I make a final judgment.

Quick, friendly service. I had the shrimp and side salad. My mother had the flounder fillets. My entree was a decent size and filling but hers was rather small. Tasted good, though. This was my second visit. First time inside, however. We will be back for more.

I went for the first time on a Saturday afternoon with my parents. The server was on top of everything and very helpful. I got the fish tacos and the crab stew, and it was delicious! The prices were decent. I had a great experience, and I will definitely be back!

Delicious fried shrimp basket for me, all you can eat catfish for my husband……… YUM!! The owners are super nice, the food is great and reasonably priced, and the wait staff is the best! The only thing that could make it better is if they had a liquor license!

We were on a road trip on I-20 when we thought Covington might have an interesting choice for supper. We hit the jackpot with Grumpy’s! The seafood sampler was perfect to whet our appetite. Hubby pronounced the scallops “real” as opposed to skate plugs often masquerading as scallops. The crab cake was huge and the bowl of gumbo even bigger! Hub’s scallop entree came with perfect cheese grits and crisp onion rings. There was a dessert menu but we were too full to do more than look. All this while the owners and staff were not only attentive but friendly as well. Grumpy’s is a laid back place to relax and enjoy eating seafood that’s been lovingly prepared.

My husband I were searching for a really good seafood restaurant to try and Grumpy’s came up as one of the Top Ten in Metro Atlanta area so we decided to drive to Covington try it. So glad we did!!! Don’t let the simple little exterior fool you….step inside to Flavor Town as Guy Fieri would say. Everything was outstanding, including the service. We had the Low Country Boil, Fried Oysters, red beans & rice, Low Country egg rolls with their awesome peachy sauce, & to-die-for hush puppies. We are definitely coming back, and we’re going to give the all you can eat catfish a try next. This is one of our favorite places now and we will be regular visitors!

It is my first time here, I was referred by a friend but I don’t think I’ll be returning. The customer service was great but the food was just ok…. more on the bland side. I had the rattatoui and the combination dinner with friend grouper and catfish. The size on the fish was ok but bland and so was the rattatoui

Great Low Country, Charleston atmosphere. Plain and simple decor and feeling. My food was cooked perfectly and portions were generous. 10/10 would dine there again.

I tried this place because of the reviews but ill say if you are a seafood person DO NOT EAT HERE biscuit was doe and crab legs were dry the onion rings were burnt and the Ratatouille had no flavor even after I dumped salt and pepper on it I still couldn’t eat it. For the prices ill go to red lobster and get more food and if you are a seafood person you know we don’t eat red lobster.
