Renovated Gyphon in Wayne is now open! Been waiting for months for this place to reopen. As the pictures show, there is a cleaner vibe here. Not that it was dirty before the renovation, but there is a more minimalistic aesthetic now. It seems like the coffee hasn’t changed, which is great, and the upstairs seating area hasn’t changed either. But overall, a good renovation to a solid coffee shop in Wayne!

I visited based on locality and happy cow (a vegan/vegetarian app) looking for breakfast options. They had 3 pastries to choose from. The lass at the counter also suggested I could have a toast with hummus, but explained that they were undergoing a menu revamping and would normally have more to offer. I grabbed a brookie, a maple scone and a golden milk latte with macadamia milk. The golden milk was alright. The pastries were good. The service was kind, patient, and friendly. The wait was not long, but the space is tight on a busy Monday morning. I opted to eat outside, but I would imagine that it’s a pleasant space to grab a bevvy and do some computer work at a less manic hour.

How did i miss this…? This is a small cafe, looks lil old, but maybe thats the theme? Its super busy around the area but worth a visit. Got the caramel latte, perfect!

Missed the Gryphon when it was closed for renovations. I loved the feel of the old place, but the bright new interior will no doubt grow on me (especially with the friendly-as-ever service). It’s almost always a bit crowded, as it should be with a neighborhood treasure like this. Great coffee, great people.

I was visiting out of town and decided to try this cute little cafe in a very historic building. I ordered the Sage and Maple iced latte with oat milk and a lox Philly muffin – both were amazing ! A few reviews say it’s “overpriced” but I would say it’s very comparable to other trendy coffee shops across the US. After walking around the rest of downtown historic Wayne, I actually stopped back in to get a to-go latte for my boyfriend. I asked for it iced and initially was given a hot version but the staff was so kind about putting it on ice. Overall, great experience !

I have been here a few times, and I must say the service is consistent and the food is always good. Coffee definitely has a lot of flavor to it.

Went here for an afternoon study sesh. I dig the vibe. Loved the art wall see through window. The music is little loud. Other than that lavender latte is very good and the atmosphere.

Service was good, coffee and baked goods were good, but seating was limited (principally due to singles with Apple laptops parked everywhere), and we had to negotiate to get a seat. Don’t suppose there’s much the management can do other than request surfers to share tables. But the coffee was good.

What cool coffee shop. I wish I lived near by so could come hangout and drink coffee. They have a really cool and friendly vibe with plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. The they have a lot windows facing the back which lets a lot of light in. Their coffee I had was excellent and there large is 20oz which is nice for long drives.

Its the quintessential coffee shop of the main line. The added bonus of getting a free 12oz drip coffee with the purchase of coffee beans is great;
