This reminds me of my favorite bar at home. The bartenders are friendly locals who know their stuff. The whole time I was there folks would walk by and say hi to them. One of the regulars got a promotion and everyone at the bar congratulated him.

While at the pier we decided to find food. A quick Google search brought up several. G Boathouse stood out and off we went! I can honestly say that was some of the best service and food I’ve ever had. Makes me wish that place was in San Antonio!

Food was decent although the place itself is a bit on the grungy side. The ceviche was mostly vegetables with only a bit of fish. The chicken sandwich was better and the sweet potato fries were good. Service was attentive. I’d give it 3.5 stars but had to pick a whole number.

Pretty good but they were definitely under staffed. They had 1 server waiting 12 tables. The food also took a while to come out. So I don’t know if this is how they normally operate. The food itself was good…. nothing about over the top flavor wise. Good selection of cocktails and beers on tap. You can tell it’s a locals spot.

My husband and I were in the area for a couple of days and I was looking for crab cakes the whole time. The last day we were there we walked by this place and it said crab cakes sidewalk sign! I was so excited and I will say they absolutely did not disappoint! It was so fresh and light and crispy and the sauce that they used was delicious. We even loved the salad that they paired with it and I’m not a salad eater. When we’re back in the area I will definitely return for more crab cakes!

Atmosphere was great. Food and drinks were even better. Would recommend. We had the mahi mahi tacos and mahi sandwich and fries. Fish was cooked well. Fries were crispy! Glad we picked this place.
