This restaurant re-opened. I had been dying to try it. I Love the coxhina and pastel at Santana’s in Everett MA. The ones at Gu-La Haven were fresh and fried perfectly, however they were very bland. I could not taste any seasoning. The pastel meat only filled 1/2 of the pastry. They had just reopened, maybe all the seasoning was not in the kitchen yet? May try again in a month or so. Will reheat and add a sauce tonight for flavor. Definitely fresh and pastry was good.

Gula Haven creates delicious pastry treats. After a long day or week it’s a nice place to eat and chill with family and friends. Service is professional, polite and curteous. The owner is friendly and helped watch our baby while we ate, relaxed and enjoyed a fun conversation. He is providing us with Brazilian culture in a little unique pastry shop in downtown Nashua. Food is great!

The food is good, the problem is the owner only open when he feels like and don’t even bother to update the time and days he’s really open. If you go to google it says he’s open right now, so you drive to find the place closed. How does someone in a restaurant business open only when he feels like?
