Quirky and delicious. Excellent (and gorgeous) cocktails. Huge food portions. Someone is a master of the fryer, and someone makes some killer pickles. A very nice vibe.

We found Guide House Grill while searching for lunch after exhausting our options in nearby Harper’s Ferry (Memorial Day weekend, understandably busy tourist time), and I’m really glad we did!

We have always loved this place but love it even more after going last night. We took our son with Down syndrome with us for the first time and as you know, it is a smaller space and very busy. Sometimes this makes him anxious. But the staff and the manager(I can’t remember her name, I am sorry) were incredible. They treated us with such respect and kindness and went beyond to make us all feel so welcome. And of course, the food and drinks were the best of best as usual. Thank you all for letting our family get out for an evening. The Palkovic Family

Stopped by to eat after going tubing. Was really good! All the meats were surprisingly good quality. Were really helpful, dad has a wheat allergy and they knew what he could/couldn’t have.

Awesome little place. Staff is super nice and friendly. The food was amazing! Ok, I love Poutine. And they have Poutine Totz. I had to try them. It comes with an egg, and I was a little doubtful, but I wanted to try it anyway. Now I want egg on every Poutine I get. It was awesome. Added another layer of flavor in the dish. The Italian sub special was one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Dedication, local and unique atmosphere and a great choice of beer make this place a truly wonderful experience. We showed up only after 8pm on a Sunday (they close at 9pm). No problem at all, ordered starter and mains, respectively.

This is a little gem close to home. The atmosphere is fun and lively. We had a female server who was knowledgeable of the menu and offered great recommendations for lunch. I tried the poutine tots appetizer for my meal. The portions were hefty and I had left overs. Downsides (which aren’t really downsides to most), no Diet Coke. I had plenty of ice water and a few sips of my companions spicy ginger beer (recommended by the server). My companion had a delicious gyro and fries. He had only good things to say about the taste of the gyro. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. We will be back.

The wings were crispy with a good sauce but tasted gamey. I was given a Caesar salad that tasted fine but oddly had tomatoes and peppers. My steak seemed like cheap grocery store steak with an absurd amount of bleu cheese. The side of macaroni was excellent. My wife’s salmon was good. The asparagus was hardly cooked–not at all tender. The kids’ chicken nuggets weren’t on the menu, though they should be–they tasted EXACTLY like McDonald’s nuggets! Kiddo approved. They didn’t have diet coke, so I had a Miller Lite which was fresh. Looks like a dump from the outside but really solid interior.

We’ve been to this place before and have really enjoyed it. However: keep in mind if they say they close at 7:00, they “close the grill” at 6:30 and won’t take you. But technically they they close @ 7:00. Also, a big sign in the window says OPEN. This is useful information if you are driving a distance to get there – only to be turned away.

Excellent service [thank you Johnnie], and all happily delicious food. *_Very_* appreciate the “garden to glass” philosophy for the drinks and the food.
