Well, the thing that puts Guido’s on the map is the unique ukulele night on Tuesday and Friday. It’s open to the public and loved by the public. I thought it was cheesy till I went there and loved the happiness of the group of all ages. So it was around 1:30 a.m. and there is slim pickings on Door Dash at that hour. Well what a great surprise! We ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch it was amazing! The crust was a buttery a little thick but good crust. The pizza was made perfect and to top it off they have a peanut butter pie that is heavenly! 5 stars!!!!

The food was excellent, as always. We have been coming in every time we’re in town for over 25 years now. The server this latest time was absolutely wonderful. We adored her and she took great care to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was great. Local musicians were having a get together and playing in one corner so we were able to enjoy.

Take my tour group here for our farewell lunch before taking them to the airport. Service and food is always great! Portion sizes (even if the lunch menu) are large enough for leftovers. Will definitely continue dining here for lunch with my groups.

I loved the interior of this place. The pizza sauce was very good, loaded with toppings, and the crust was okay. My only complaint was the amount of crust around the edges. I like my toppings to go all the way to the edge but that was not the case at all here. However, I did ask for extra marinara sauce to use that crust for dipping, and they brought us a healthy size dish of warm marinara. We also had really excellent service. Great place!

Guido’s is a hometown staple in Anchorage. Patrons from long ago are bringing their grandkids here now! “Guido” provides venues for parties, big and small, and (my favorite thing) music. Several nights a week, groups of music lovers get together to jam. I especially love Friday nights when the Jumping Fleas ukulele group gets together. All are welcome – whether you know how to play or not. They have loaner ukes and a love of teaching others of all ages how to play. Great fun!

We visited pretty late in the day.. 11pmish. Pizza was hot but just not to our taste. Waitress was cool. Weird, eclectic, decor. Little dirty, spaghetti on the carpeted floor kinda stuff.
