None of the Indians restaurants in the Bay Area could bring the taste of authentic Hyderabadi biryani. I ordered this special chicken biryani today i.e 11/04 I have no idea what is so special in this. It looks like they added butter chicken curry on plain white rice. You can see from the image. These guys are only good at bombarding Facebook with their ads. I wish they had spent even one-tenth of the effort improving their service. I went to Gumagumalu on July 4th at 11:30 AM with my family that includes my 3 year daughter. At the very onset we were told not to order the thali because it would take 20-30 minutes to prepare. We were instead told to order from the ala-carte which will be much quicker. Long story short even after 1 hour we did not get the dosas that we ordered even though people who ordered the thali after us got it. My 3 year old was left starving and multiple reminders fell on deaf ears. Every time we enquired, we were told it was almost ready. There wasnt a single apology. We paid for the 2 dishes that we got and left the place. Even when paying for those we were shown a check for the dishes that never came and had to point it out again. This restaurant is an utter mess. Dont even bother to try them out.

Good appetizers. Good food based on what you order. Once we tried Indian thali, not so good. Other times, we tried their appetizers and items from the Menu. They are excellent and yummy. Their stuffed chili fritters are amazing.
