Food and service were excellent. Very friendly staff. However I found it strange that I ordered the “Hot” chicken sliders and it’s just plain mild chicken on the sliders with no sauce. Apparently you have to ask for the “Hot” sauce that is supposed to come on the sliders. How odd.

I thoroughly enjoyed my food. The burger was fresh and juicy. And the fries were perfect. The next day I got the wings. Unique flavor. It was traditionally a Native American spice. Bomb!!

Food was great and the service was greater! My husband and I had the Gator Eggs (highly recommend) and Boudin Balls (sauce is amazing!) for appetizers. We then shared the seafood platter (fried fish, oysters, shrimp, hushpuppies, and a side). Hearty portions for the price. Everything was fabulous, and we will come back for the other menu items on the next visit!

You know what’s funny about this place is the food isn’t BAD! The fried pickles was decent, the charbroiled oysters was pretty good, and I actually liked the salad I ordered.

Crawfish Potateaux was awful. The crispy potatoes were soft and barely cooked. Only one crawfish tail in the entire dish. The crawfish mounds were super sweet large cornbread/sweet potato with a decent amount of crawfish on top. Sauce was good but the dish was just way too sweet for an entree. The service was strange, odd and really lackluster. Very disappointing for a mother’s day meal. We wanted crawfish and it was nowhere on the menu although we thought we saw some people eating them out of a bucket. Apparently the waitress should have told us about them and that tonight was the last night they’d be serving them. What a disappointing meal….

On 1.15.23, Sunday, I went to the all you can eat crab and shrimp buffet. We got there for 3:30 pm. The line was crazy long. By the time we got to the front of the line we had to give our name and cell number and they would text us when a table was ready. There were 40 people ahead of us. We didn’t sit down to eat until 7:30pm. By that time the snow crabs were cold and salty, they were out of boiled shrimp, no shrimp at all. They gave fried frog legs in place of the shrimp. They finally came out with the fried fish, which was OK. The fish was fried hard. The frog legs and fish were fried in the same batter. The batter was real thick on both. We came from Beaumont TX for that buffet. It was not worth our time nor money. It was definitely not worth $45. I have never been to a buffet and had to wait in a 4 hour line before being seated. Then being served mediocre food at the cost of $45! Gumbeaux’s need to do it right or don’t do it at all.

The food was particular, but amazing! I didn’t give 4 stars just because I wish suggestions were made or where to start for this out-towner. Service was excellent, friendly, fast, and accommodating. I had the shrimp tacos— highly recommend!

This place SUCKS to have a ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet on Sundays in January. The old buffet should have stayed in place instead of adding a buffet in a “Bar”/small restaurant. We drove over an hour to see a long, very long line and turned around and left. Glad we did from the other post I have seen last night and today.
