There are higher end places in the area. However for fresh seafood this place is fantastic. You order at the counter. They have lots of fried and steamed fresh seafood, including lobsters and lobster rolls. Fun place that also sells raw fresh seafood which is also fantastic. We got some haddock and made great fish tacos at home as well.

I’ve had a million crabcake sandwiches from a million different places and this was, by far, the worst I’ve ever had. I’m not exaggerating when I say that 99% of this “crabcake” was filler. Save yourself the $10 and just eat a bag of bread crumbs.

The good stuff. This place is so cute. Right on the river on the way to Bailey Island with tons of outdoor seating and a decent beer selection. The only reason I don’t give the atmosphere a 5 star is that the wooden path down to the river is unkempt and impassable. Also the tables right outside of the restaurant are very close to the road and the speed limit is 50mph. However there is plenty of seating to avoid that. The service was fine. You stand in line, order and they have a pickup window. They pack it to go. Next the food. The bad part. They have lots of refrigerated food and frozen to go. They serve frozen not fresh French fries if that matters to you. We ordered the seafood chowder and the clam chowder. One was scalding hot and the other lukewarm. It was hands down the worst chowder either of us had ever eaten in Maine and we live here. It was so thin, it was like watered down milk. There was absolutely no flavour to boot. I can’t complain about the amount of seafood. I just know that neither of us could ever eat it again. It’s a seafood shack. The chowder should stand out. 15 buck for a bowl also. Maybe you can find something better on the menu, but we won’t be going back for the chowda!!

We visit the Harpswell area 3 or 4 times a year and always stop in for the fried shrimp dinner. The shrimp is always melt in your mouth delicious, and the fries are awesome. The coleslaw is a nice bonus as well. They have a cozy outdoor seating area under a grapevine canopy that is very relaxing with views of the ocean. We always look forward to stopping in for lunch!!

My first visit was great; food was very good but crab cake was not tasty & too mushy. Haddock & FF great; coleslaw awesome-tasty & crunchy. I’d recommend. Clean picnic area. Cool breeze from incoming tide.

Delicious lobster rolls, you get a decent amount of meat for the fairly cheap cost ($20). It’s served cold, so a side of fries pairs quite nicely.

The blueberry pie and lobster roll is a must! They also have fresh fish to buy and take. You order at a window then wait for your name to be called. The small indoor area is for “grocery” shopping. There are benches undercover to sit and wait for your food. Picnic tables are available next to the water when weather permits. This is not a wheelchair approved restaurant. With some mobility issues you can make it indoors but the picnic area is a little more treacherous. There are no bathrooms but an outhouse. It is more a order to go place. The food was great. Whole clams in the clam chowder, large chucks of lobster in the soup and rolls, but the crab cake sandwich had hardly any crab. No chucks of meat mostly filler. This might be the Maine way as I’m use to Maryland crab cakes. It still had good flavor. This is certainly a must stop.

This was the only place I could seat down and have steamed lobster on off season and I couldn’t be happier. They have seating area by the store or little opposite from the parking where they have picnic tables overlooking the body of water. The lobsters were so tender so fresh melted in my mouth and the great price! I had two good sized lobsters onion rings side coleslaw a cup of clam chowder and drinks and my bill was littler over 50 dollars!

Adorable little place with good prices on great food! The clams just melt. The fish dip and crab dip were both outstanding. Even the coleslaw was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely check out this little gem

The upgrades by new owner are great. Prices still really reasonable. Fries are AWESOME. My one complaint: bacon wrapped scallops not good. Overcooked and tough little scallops. One had the muscle that should be removed before cooking. Please use cooking method of previous owners. I used to buy these all the time.
