Breakfast ends at 11am. Our waitress was not timely, had to ask other waitresses for refills. We thought this small town dinner would have fresh, homemade food, but it was the opposite. Unfortunately, we will not be going there again.

This is definitely the small town cafe. When we went, the place was really busy, the service was friendly while a little slow, but we were in no hurry. We tried their pizza, which was pretty good. The ingredients tasted like real cheese, and it had a tasty sauce. I’ve definitely had more delicious pizza, but I’d go back again. Their menu is pretty long, so we’ll go back and try some of their “Iowa” fare. Don’t expect exciting or gourmet.

Love the ambiance inside. Large dining area. That local home cooked food feel to the place. The server was very friendly. Only ordered one thing off the menu, the cod and it was great. Had the buffet and it was only okay to me, came towards the end of lunch though. Would like to come back and try more, and those pies I need to try…

What a delicious surprise. Found this by accident and couldn’t be more pleased. Best gyro I have had in a long time, the Hot Roast Beef is not only famous but world class. The Fried Cheesecake was incredible. Will have to return to try the pie, can hardly wait.

They have a poster on the wall that says, “Best gyros in town.” That got my curiosity because it’s the last thing I expected from a restaurant in rural Iowa. The gyro sandwich did not disappoint. The fried pita bread sets it apart from other gyros I’ve had, and they make their own tzatziki sauce. The owner is of Greek heritage, and you can sense the pride they have in their restaurant. The wait staff is nice. I’ve had other sandwiches here, but I recommend the gyros most.
