I had a delightful lunch experience at Gus’s Grill in Lagrange with my daughter. Our waiter, Joey, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about gluten allergies, which was greatly appreciated. The GF options he discussed were reassuring. The portion sizes were impressive – I ordered a scoop of tuna and the Greek salad, both of which were delicious. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her country salad with fried chicken tenders, and the generous portion meant she had leftovers to take home. Overall, a satisfying meal with excellent service!

Touches of memories all throughout the restaurant. Memories with his family, and memories with members of the community. Completely perfect to get a feel of the people of LaGrange. My Gyro Philly was fantastic! Gus (who is Greek by birth) was on the grill in the back and is said to prepare the gyro meat himself. I believe it! While sitting at the bar on a weekday, there had to have been at least 20 people coming in for pick-up orders in 45 minutes. This place is obviously a local favorite, for a reason. Homemade tzatziki sauce is with almost every dish and that alone is worth the stop.

While Gus’s isn’t a 5 star restaurant it’s a 5 star grill knowing the type of food to expect. You’re not getting hoity-toity good just good honest meals. The breakfast and burgers and sandwiches are carefully prepared and very tasty. Service is always friendly and attentive. It’s a great value.

If you are in the downtown Lagrange area check out Gus’s Grill. The breakfast is pure home town cooking like my grandma used to make. Excellent omelets and pancakes.
