Ordered delivery through door dash. Gyro tasted like any other gyro but it was a decent size. I was surprised that you have to pay extra for the tzatziki sauce as it does not come on it. I do not recommend their chili cheese fries. It was loaded but tasted bland.

Updated Review – 4/2/23: I ordered the BFG gyro. It was HUGE! I had the leftovers for lunch the next day! It was delicious! I still can’t believe how big it was. The fries and onion rings were also incredible! I highly recommend eating at Gus’s Gyros. You will NOT be disappointed! I guarantee it.

I’m from Chicago and I never had a B.F.G. gyros this BIG and the fries are fresh cut and fried to perfection, nice and crispy and 1 order is enough for 3 people. I’ve had better flavored gyros before but that doesn’t mean that Gus’s gyros are bad by any means. I will definitely be back again!

You can tell these dudes really don’t care. The fries are disgusting. Undercooked and soggy. The burger is all sloppy and not enjoyable. Waste of money. Are there quality standards at all here? If so , tell the short guy with the glasses on his head he should try wearing them over his eyes and the tall guy with the beard you cook better when you’re not holding your phone in one hand the whole time.

Takes a while to make even a single menu item. Food is fairly bland considering how great it smells. Portions vs. price is not great.. The gyros are stuffed with mostly meat which is dry and a choking hazard. Overall, I come here when im nearby for a quick bite! I just cant get over the prices to come more often

BFG is all I have got to say! First time visiting Gus’s and I’ll be making this my go to gyro stop from now on. Ordered one 1978 gyro ( original ) and the BFG gyro. You could have fed 3 people with the Big F’n Gyro, see pic. If you haven’t tried them, then you are missing out! Oh and don’t forget a large bag of Gus’s fresh cut fries. Affordable, large sandwiches with plenty of fries, plenty good!

The portions are HUGE. You could easily spilt one gyro. And do not get an order of fries thinking you can eat them all. You definitely will need to share. The staff was friendly. The music was great if you are an 80’s fan like me. Only glitch was their card reader so you may want to make sure you have cash, just in case.

Went to Gus’s Gyros and ordered the large fries (which were almost a bag full) and the BFG (big f gyro)..omg both of these items were HUGE..hubby and I shared and had more than enough food and probably could have brought some home if it wasn’t so dang good. We ate the whole thing!!! IMO better than Oakland Gyros..We will most definitely be back!!!!
