Waitress Kayla was amazing and sweet, For the first time coming here the food was delicious and sweet tea was amazing, you can tell everything is hand made just by looking at it. Quick service. Visited this location today. I visited Gus’ years ago I think in Memphis , and before they came to Birmingham. Anyway, if you like spicy, you will love the chicken. I had a two piece mixed with Mac and cheese and baked beans. The chicken has a very thin crust on it which tastes like it’s marinated in hot sauce. I prefer more breading and crust myself. The Mac and cheese was thick but needed salt in my opinion. The beans were tasty. Good visit and wasn’t busy. The cashier acted like she wanted to be at work. Just make sure your stomach can handle spicy!
