I can see what all the fuss is. The chicken was very tender and juicy. My breading was a touch over cooked but still amazing. The wings were a little tiny, but they gave me two to make up for it. The sides were ok. But they did not outshine the chicken. Be prepared to wait; not only for a table, but after you order, the wait was almost as LL f to get my food. I guess I could have ordered an appetizer!

Chicken was impeccable as the star of a show should always be and seasoned to perfection! The chicken was hot and juicy. It was definitely worth the wait and trip. The baked beans did not disappoint either. As for the mac & cheese, it was lackluster. If you like cafeteria style mac & cheese with a somewhat thick cheese sauce, you won’t be disappointed. The dessert, on the other hand, was delicious. Be sure sure to get a slice of sweet potato pie! You can have it served at room temperature or warmed up. I opted for warmed up! I do wish the crust was a little thicker, though. The wings have to be favorite thing on the menu as just about everyone ordered them! Service was good and food came in a timely fashion! You can see the cooks constantly dropping chicken (in the grease) for orders every minute. If staying downtown, you can easily get there via trolley or bus and walk 1 block.

I was slightly disappointed by the fried chicken. The spices were really good. This isn’t Nashville hot chicken. The spice blend add flavor but isn’t hot. But, I have had more flavorful and moist fried chicken elsewhere.

We experienced Gus’s World Famous FriedChicken for the first time today. While there wasn’t a line to get in when we got there, we did have to wait fir a table to open up (just a couple of min). We ordered a 2 piece (white) meal with breast and wing with Cole slaw and baked beans($11.50), a 3 piece tender meal ($12.50) with Cole slaw and potato salad, and a 3 piece wing meal ($12.50) with Cole slaw and baked beans.

Delicious fried chicken here and a great selection of fried appetizers. I tried the fried pickle spears and the were very tasty. I also recommend the greens, very good! Caleb was my easier and was fantastic. Highly recommend!

The chicken was good, but unfortunately nothing beyond that. I can’t see what is the big hype about this place. service was excellent though. I didn’t like the fried pickles at all.

Simply the best fried chicken in the entire world! It’s very small, expect to wait to get a table. We went when they opened and it filled up so fast. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and the food was the best ever.

Before me & my wife go to the Grizzlies game we always stop by here & eat first. The wait was about 35mins. The food was alright. I really feel like it has been better. Our waiter seemed distracted or short attention span. The location in Dallas we went to got them beat but I will definitely be back again….

Great food, great service, good prices. The food is great so there’s a little wait, but trust the food is bomb and won’t take too long!
