This is our American Mexican restaurant of choice here in Carlyle. We enjoy the food, the service has given by the family it is as a whole a good experience. We do love the chips and salsa, especially the white cheese dip. Chori Pollo is my wife’s favorite, and I like that one also. My favorite though is the Guzman Burrito.

Went 4/11 for dinner. Chips and salsa were good. We both ordered meals with chicken breasts. My husband told our server that his chicken smelled bad and tasted bad. She assured him that they cut fresh chicken every day. She never offered something else. He handed her his plate and she took it. He asked that they take his dinner off the ticket. My chicken also smelled bad. I asked the server to smell it but she refused. I took mine home hoping if it was bad oil that I could wash off. When we went to pay they didn’t want to remove my husband’s meal from the ticket even though he did not eat it. He told them it was spoiled and they said that was his opinion. Truthfully we only should have paid for our drinks. I did eat a few pieces at home after washing the meat. It still tasted bad. The next day I was sick with diarrhea. I should have spit it out like my husband. The rest of mine went in the trash even though we paid for the meal.

Got my order wrong. The owner and son eho took my order swore it was right. Then after I go to the bathroom they continue to harass my gf about the order. We will not go back or let anyone else be harassed like that. Not friendly to woman then acted fine around me. Also the lady there didn’t speak English and was rude as well.

The street tacos were pretty good but not for almost $5 a piece. Ordered 5 street tacos for pickup, and the total was almost $22 plus a $2 tip… this seems crazy to me. Unfortunately, there is a zero percent chance I would try this place again due to pricing.

Food was from a can. Nothing authentic about it. Taco salad with beef was like looking at cat food. The chimi was good, but it was a small 4 inch at best. For the price, I should have received 2 chimi @ that size.

If I could give it no stars I would! The waiter argued and harassed me after my boyfriend went to the bathroom because I ordered something without onion because of allergies and they made it with onions and didn’t want to remake it. HORRIBLE SERVICE! EVEN WORSE OWNERS! WILL NOT RETURN! Save your money they reuse salsa and chips too!

Had a great Saturday evening meal after a day on the lake. I had a huge fajita quesadilla with an awesome homemade hot sauce on the side. The hot sauce was so good I asked to take some home with me and have been eating it for days! Really friendly staff and very attentive. Hope to come again next time I’m visiting the lake!
