Don’t dismiss this little Greek treasure on the East Side of Owensboro. Tucked away in the strip mall across HWY 54 from Ritzy’s, this place offers authentic Greek cuisine full of flavor and freshly made. Their lamb is some of the best I’ve had and their chicken was well liked by my wife. The Tzatziki sauce was spot on and their Tabbouleh salad was flavorful and amazing. I couldn’t pass up trying their Baklava while there too. I wish it had just a bit more honey syrup, but it was super light and flaky as would be expected. I hope this place makes it and has the time and money to invest in seating and serving dishes/to-go containers. Spending a little on both will likely draw in more of a crowd and improve the overall professionalism and appearance of the restaurant. Overall a great visit and I will certainly be coming back for more.

Great little restaurant. My first impression was that it was clean and well kept up, though also modest. Ordered the Gyro platter. It’s nice that you’re able to customize the plate. The owner was very nice and prepared our food quickly. It came out hot and tasted fresh, with lots of flavor. No doubt this is why Gyro House has such high ratings. It deserves it. I can definitely recommend anyone to go here and will certainly come back myself.

The nice gentleman making the food gave us samples to try since we’ve never been there before and just the samples alone were amazing. Our meals were fantastic, very well seasoned and that tatziki sauce was amazing! Everything we got was amazing. We ate it so fast we didn’t even think about pictures until there were only scraps left. Really great service, huge portions for a really fair price, everything was ready really fast, it held over very well on the way home, we will definitely be going back!!!

Cannot complain about this place, service was fast food was hot and fresh. And the flavors were absolutely amazing. They have a wide selection on their menu, I will go back again. Today I ordered the Gyro with fries, and it did not disappoint. If you’re on the other side of Owensboro looking for a good place to eat that’s not a chain restaurant give them a chance. Very good food you will not be disappointed.

Nothing bad to be said about this place. The food was amazing. You get more than what you pay for. The quantity for the price is amazing. The quality is amazing for speed at which you get your food. This place definitely deserves more traffic so please go visit and tell your friends! I cant believe I drove past this place and seen it empty so often

How did I not know this place existed before today?? I’ve been craving gyros for almost a year so I decided to pop in and give it a try. I ordered the lamb gyro platter. First of all, from walking in the door to paying and leaving took less than 5 minutes. Secondly… one bite and I’m pretty sure my soul left my body. This was, no exaggeration, the best thing I’ve ever tasted. And added bonus, for $10.99 you get a ton of food! Highly recommend to anyone wanting delicious and authentic Greek food for a fair price!

The chicken platter and chicken shawarma platter were both excellent. Perfectly seasoned and deeply flavored. The rice was nicely prepared and a perfect complement to the meat and sauce. The salad, which you can adjust the toppings on, was a cool, crisp bonus. Overall, it was a very good lunch.

The best gyro I’ve had in Owensboro. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was great, and the staff is very polite. I’ve been here a few times now, and they are very consistent. They also have baklava, so save some room for dessert! I would also recommend the chicken shawarma.

Fast food with sit down restaurant quality. Everything was excellent and fresh. Hands down the best gyro in Owensboro. The falafel took a few extra minutes but it was definitely worth the wait. Hot and delicious. The kofta was surprisingly good. Idk how but the meaty flavor was kicked up a notch. I would have been happy to eat the garnishes by themselves. They were that good.

Just tried it for our first time today. We will be back for sure. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had chicken and lamb platter, swarma (spelling lol) chicken platter. You get alot of food for the price point. He even offered us a sample since it was our first time.
