I was in Parkersburg to visit the historic district and Gyro King was recommended. It was within a couple of blocks so I walked over and was so pleased! Small restaurant, but clean and comfortable. I had a nice chat with the proprietor who made sure to prepare my gyro to my preference. He didn’t disappoint! Awesome gyro with harissa and homemade spice blend. Can’t wait to go back!

Small gem in Parkersburg WV. Owner was amazing. Food was amazing. A must if you in the mood for authentic gyros or Mediterranean food. One gyro is all you need. I recommend the #23 Mona Lisa. I had the beef shawarma. Took home 1/2. Will do again.

Wife and I traveling through from Ohio on memorial weekend and wanted something different. Stop in a had lunch and it was awesome. The gyro was the best. The man working was very fro and pleasant. Definitely stopping again. Oh and had to edit and add the best hummus we’ve ever had.

Was passing through Parkersburg at lunchtime, so I thought I’d try this place out. The place is T I N Y, but don’t let that deter you. If you’re more than two people, it’s going to be cozy. I decided to eat in my car since it was lunch time. Based on the rating, I was OK with the 10 minute wait. After all, it’s one guy. Honestly the best gyro I’ve had, and best falafel I’ve had. Wow. Veggies were cool and crispy and seasoned well, the pita was charred lightly from the grill, and that sauce was just fantastic. Heavy on the dill and spices. Falafels were warm, crunchy and heavily seasoned…SO good. He didn’t skimp on them either.. The little crumbles of feta were a nice touch. Just all around great in terms of texture and flavors. Gyro King indeed!

Today we ate lunch at Gyro King. It was my first time here and we loved everything. I had the salmon salad and others in our group tried the gyros and sandwiches. Everything was fresh, authentic and delicious. We highly recommend giving them a try. We can’t wait to go back!

The service was great and fast. First time I’ve eaten at a Greek restaurant. The Pita was great. I had the Greek Baba Ganoush and it was yummy. I also had the Mountaineers Gyro and it was delicious. It’s a classic whole in the wall, one guy, amazing food experience. Would recommend!
