AYCE BBQ and sushi. This is the spot to be to kick back with a few beers as there are plenty of varieties offered. You order on an ipad and then click “send to kitchen”. Minutes later, food starts coming out promptly. My friend and I tried at least half the menu and liked that the wait staff assisted with the cooking on the smokeless grill. I was impressed we didn’t leave smelling like the BBQ. Hindsight, we probably should’ve ordered cooked food before the sushi instead of at the same time. It was odd eating both at the same time. Sushi was fresh and cut proportionally. Rib eyes and prime beef were the favorites. Also enjoyed the seafood pancake and gyoza.

Did the $85 Omakase/BBQ combo. Boy was it filling! Very hearty price of fish and meats, truly worth what you’re getting here. Staff is super kind and do a great job helping you enjoy your time, no rush at all. Our favorite were the scallop, tuna and waygu short rib. They go off quality here so no overbearing amount of seasoning. Nice spot for a group I should add.. will be back!

The yakiniku omakases is amazing! Went here to celebrated a friend’s birthday and the taste and service didn’t disappoint. The meat is really juicy and we love the fact they give u loads of short rib cuts. The dessert custard is delicious. The only complaint we have is the fact that they gave too much shrimp. We would of preferred more meat instead of the shrimp. However we found out at the end that you could substitute it. Be sure to ask waiter to substitute the shrimp for more meat if you are like us

I had the omakase course of $88 (plus tax and tip is around $110). I think it is a decent price for the quality, however, it’s really not the best fish quality. I did not feel very well after eating and that rarely happens to me. I did not try their bbq part. So if your friends are trying to find a restaurant for bbq and sushi then this is the place. But if you want to eat omakase for around this price I would recommend Sushi by M instead. Its around the same price for better quality and a longer course.

Fantastic experience overall. The staff was very attentive and we got a cute private booth that enhanced the ambiance. Every bite was heaven. Loved the omasake and bbq combo. Would def recommend this place.

Was really excited to try this place since it’s a combo with omakase and yakiniku. Food is subpar at best, definitely way overpriced. You can get much better and or much more food at this price point. The omakase was just ok and the yakiniku meat was not great quality. This is the first time I’ve had chawan mushi that tasted bad, it’s usually a no fail item at restaurants. Service was also careless, the server did not introduce the sushi pieces, and also forgot to serve an item until I pointed it out after the bill was served. Restaurant was also pretty empty for a weekend, not sure if the five star reviews are genuine. I would not recommend visiting.

Hiyake is not a typical Omakase place, unlike other places in the r city they offers more than just sushi Omakase but also offers Japanese style BBQ. You could sit on the chef counter if you choose to only have Omakase, if you want BBQ they have private booth with grill. Both Omakase and combo are $88 pretty affordable price for the amount of food they are offering.

My husband and I decided to try here for the 1st time. We were extremely happy with the whole experience. The decorations are great! Our waitress, Makala S , was the best! She was very personable and attentive to us. The food was great and the price was reasonable. it was delicious! We will definitely be visiting again!
