This place is great! We ordered 5 different dishes and they were mostly all really good. As vegetarians it’s nice to see that they offer a good variety. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the garlic edamame. For some reason it had a fish flavor. We will try the regular edamame when we return.

Gyu-Kaku is a chain, but this is the only location in Maryland (as of this review). I was really excited to try Japanese BBQ and see how it is different from Korean BBQ. They take reservations online which is nice!

Family and I ate here with no reservation but still able to eat cause the hostess able to squish in . She is so nice. Food was great and delicious. Price is just right with the quality of the food. Our server Niko is very nice and friendly. He always check on us and very attentive. I reccomend this place. We surely coming back to try the other food selection they have.

Went for lunch and tried the AYCE premium tier. For the AYCE, they have rules for how you can stay(90mins) and how to order(3 items per person per round). It was easy to order and everything came out quickly. It’s all based on how fast you eat since they come by very quickly to help you order more after every round of food. The Lychee Mojito was delicious and the Garlic Fried Rice was amazing, a must try in my opinion. Meats were well cut for grilling, loved the shishito peppers. Will definitely come back or treat friends here.

It’s a cool spot, but either the prices are too high, or the portions are too small – especially for food that you have to cook yourself! But they do have a lot of tasty meats and good marinades.

I was so excited that Gyu- Kaku was coming to the area. This location only does a la carte and no AYCE. I made reservations the same day and was able to grab a table. My 2 friends and I decided to go for the Meat Lovers. This was plenty for 3 people. We decided to upgrade 3 of the following beef Sukiyaki Bibimbap, Prime Kalbi short rib sweet tare and the harami skirt steak miso. Starting off with the sides the portions were just perfect. The salad was more of a mixed salad. We loved the fresh tomatoes, greens and miso dressing. The bibimbap had a lot of meat and the hot stone making the rice crispy was perfect. The Gyu sushi is a must order and highly recommend for each person to try.

Came here for a date night and was quickly seated. We ordered the meat lover combo set. I first set of entrees impressed me in terms of balance and flavors but then the meats were super disappointing. Every meat was seasoned way too sweet. Unsure if this normal but go ahead with the al la carte option and order unseasoned meats and dip into sauces if needed.

Gyu-kaku is wonderful and I hope it stays around for a long time. Highly recommend a reservation – we visited for dinner on a Thursday, and it was packed when we left. The restaurant offers discounted prices on most items during “Happy Hours”, which appears to be all day Mon-Fri right now.
