Atmosphere and service are very good. The meats are good, but not outstanding in my opinion. I’ve had the A5 wagyu once for the novelty- I think their much cheaper brisket is as good or better. Not a big fan of any of their sauces, so I usually just ask for some salt and add that. They do have pretty good sushi here too. Overall it is a nice place for BBQ, but just kind of falls short of being amazing in any regard.

One of the absolute best Japanese barbecue restaurants I’ve ever been to in my entire life. It is obviously one of the most expensive ones too. We had fabulous food all night and even went for the wagyu beef which was cooked for us by a professional. Make sure you dab it in some of the truffle salt on each side and throw it back on the grill for 10 seconds, it’ll be a life-changing experience, I promise. This place deserves a mic drop as long as you can afford it.

New to Japanese BBQ, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was some of the most interesting cocktails that you can get at Mosaic. A manager who walked around with a smile,, and a waitstaff that was kind and eager to serve. Now that’s not even mentioning the food. Again, new to Japanese BBQ. I was surprised about how enjoyable it was to cook my own thin slices of meat. And the Smokey take on an Old Fashioned, the Yolo presented itself is a breathtaking way. I’m adding this to my list of places to enjoy.

Nice quality meat but pretty pricey for the quantity of meat for each order. You can look at spending about $100 per person with drinks. Our waitress did a wonderful job cooking for us and she was super attentive and cleaned the table. Not a single piece of trash was ever left on the table and plates were removed and replaced constantly. Great customer service! Food was superb… service was superb. The marinated side skirt is the most flavorful meat, the rib eye is also delicious. We have the meat fried rice as well as the King dragon roll, crab roll, salmon roll and lobster roll were very good. Appetizer tempura was delicious. We also have the chicken wings which were delicious as well. Our favorite was the King dragon roll which was packed with flavor. Are rolls came out on dry ice and was so impressive. We had the dessert mochi which was pretty good. The price was pretty high even more than justifiable for the quality of the food and the service. Each order may not be pricey but it added up quickly!

If you like wagyu then this is the place to go. Their Wagyu is the best I’ve ever had in the DMV area. I’ve dined here several times since their opening years ago. Tried different dishes on the menu as many as possible, and so far they’ve all been great. The staff and service is excellent as always.
