My husband and I had been on the road for hours and stopped in Washington for the night. We looked for a place to eat. The window said “Best Mexican Food in Town.” I love Mexican and am a lover of margaritas. I ordered a frozen margarita. It came and had no liquid… no biggie…. it had NO TASTE, which is why I sent it back. They exchanged it for one on the rocks. It was terrible! My husband got a Hawaiian Fajita and I got Texas Rice. The veggies in my rice were good, but the rest was blah and greasy. I left over half of it. My husband’s fajita burned. We showed the burned food to the server and was told that it wasn’t cooked burned, but the plate was hot. The bottom line was that it tasted burned. He only ate the shrimp and pineapples. If I ever go back through Washington, I’ll drive on. I should not spend $58.00 and be dissatisfied! The pics show how pale my lime margarita was and the plastic (warm) glass my rocks was in.

Good Mexican Food for this area. I enjoyed my tacos . Somewhat Authentic. Clean Establishment with good a staff. Chips and salsa were great. Drinks are legit. Located next to a out of business supermarket. I would go back.

((( The Texas jumbo margarita tasted like cheap water was just disappointed)))….never had a plastic cup for a jumbo before …THE OTHER 2 mixed drinks was ok….Ordered a plate of mixed vegetables..we get a full plate of broccoli that was hardly steamed. The chips was mainly crumbs..souse was good…the quesadilla & grilled shrimp was Great but got the order wrong the first go round…it’s nice and all that something extra for the city. It’s just I had higher expectations for this place being I’m at La Cabana a lot. I’m just used to the high quality experience at the other Mexican restaurants..I might be back idk yet but most likely be at the other spot.

Not bad for small town AmeriMex food. I ordered take out and got the pork carnitas. They were pale looking pork tips but ended up being very tender and flavorful. Similar to slow cooked pot roast but for pork. Not the crispy fried pork tips I’m used to elsewhere. I asked to add jalapeños to my cheese dip, this was a $1.50 upcharge which I’ve never had to pay for at any Mexican restaurant ever, but the small cheese dip was generous in size so I’m not too upset. The salsa was pretty bland and very tomato-forward. Could use some more onion, jalapeño, and cilantro to liven it up a bit. Chips were good, fresh and crispy. If I’m ever stuck in Washington again I would go back, their drink specials looked good and the restaurant itself was very clean and looked newly renovated.

Tessa was our waitress and she was awesome. She was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She came to check to make sure we had everything we needed several times. She deserves a raise for going over and beyond her service duties! The restaurant was super clean and the art work on the wall was amazing!

My daughter and I went here today for the first time. Great service from Brenda, and Lupita (the manager I believe). The food tasted great. We got a LOT of food, and I took a lot home for leftovers. The meat was very well seasoned and flavorful. The guacamole was delicious! The prices were great, and the inside is very nicely done…loved the pretty tables and booths. Will definitely be back. Thanks!
