When I worked at a national brewery in the 90’s I watched one of their instructional videos for bar owners — How to keep your tap lines clean. Otherwise mold will grow inside of them and be dispensed into the beer you serve. Since then, I’ve tried to always order bottled beer. Last night at Habanero’s restaurant, I ordered a bottle of Spotted Cow. They only had it on tap. So I got the tap. And what do you know! A two inch hunk of MOLD floating around in the beer! I didn’t see it at first, but felt it touch my lip when I took my first sip. I thought maybe it was a slice of lemon. Then I looked at it. SO GROSS! The waiter apologized up and down and said they had NOT CLEANED THE TAP LINES! Back to bottled beer for me. One other thing that was substandard, when we arrived and told the waitress we were there for drinks only, we sat at a table and were then ignored for 15 minutes or more. We had to get up and get our own drink menus. When the bartender finally noticed us not being served, he came over and took our order. After that and besides the moldy beer, we had a great time. We had chips and salsa that were good, and a tasty Jalapeno margarita that had a popsicle in it and enjoyed a fun evening with friends. I would like to give this place higher than a two star rating because of the fun we had, but mold in the beer…I just can’t say it was a three star experience. The moral of the story is make lemonade out of lemons, or at least make fun of your moldy beer and stay away from taps.

I forgot the name of this nachos dish so I’ll update this review once I have the name. The dish consisted of tortilla chips, melted cheese, black beans, lettuce, Pico de gallo, guacamole, a dollop of sour cream, and seasoned steak.

Came here for the first time, kind of expected mid-grade Mexican food, but ended up being excellent!! They had good chips and salsa, strong drinks, and amazing tacos, rice, burritos, and tostadas! Our group really enjoyed the food, but the service was SO SLOW after we were done eating. We waited about 30-40 after we were done to get the check and finally saw the waiter come around for it. We will be back!

Waitress & service was as expected and well. Some prices seemed a little above quality of the product. Food was better tasting and enjoyed it. Overall good experience and would go back again

Food was very good and plentiful. Atmosphere was somewhat dark. The waiter was not at all attentive. Between ordering and the bill being brought, he never came around the check on us. We will return though.

Carnitas Taco’s were very good, rice as well. We saw two very hard working employees while we were there. Service was a bit slow however these 2 could not have worked harder. Kudos to them!

Honestly the worst “Mexican” restaurant ive been to ever!!! Ive had better experiences at Taco Bell. Came in for dinner with my bf last night about an hr before close so they definitely weren’t busy.

It’s in a convenient location for me. The food is pretty good. Service was attentive and quick! A little dated but charming and it doesn’t take away from the food.
