This is traditional Mexican food. Have traveled to Mexico from north to south, east to the west coast, and threw the heart of Mexico Spent many yrs in and out of Mexico. Food is just like home. PERFECTLY DONE 12 different plates sampled every one of them. 10 out of 10 perfect.

It was our first time eating here. We drive by all the time so we decided to try something new and all I can say is…keep driving next time. It is not worth $86 for two people. Quite frankly I don’t even know where the $86 came from. I didn’t see the bill but was blown away when I heard how much it cost. Fish tacos were extremely salty. Nothing could mask it. The fish wasn’t even a filet. Just chopped up fish in tiny pieces. The guacamole was smushed up avocado with nothing else in it. We are normally patient with wait staff at places but this was the worst waiter. We would ask for things in advanced after learning he took a long time and still would never get what we wanted until other wait staff noticed. Other tables would sit down after us and finish way before. Save yourself some time. If you want to spend that much or even much less there are way better Mexican restaurants around.

We were quickly seated. We waited for a little while before someone came. When the waitress came, she gave us chips and left. Later on, after we had eaten over almost all of our trips(that much time passed), our drink and food order was taken.

I would not know where you could find better (flavorful, not drowned in cheese, breaded, fried) vegetarian chile relleno in the Birmingham area.. Salsa for crispy chips comes in a carafe and the house hot sauce is solid, Service is fast and attentive, and the price is on the value side.

Diner here was great. Arrived around 5:45 and we were seated and served promptly. Salsa was delicious with chunks onions a cilantro in it. We both ordered vegetarian dinners(quesadilla and Chile relleno). They were both heavy on the cheese but no complaints there. My dinner came with a guac salad which was some of the best guacamole I gave ever eaten. I will eat here again when I am in the area.

Great Mexican food with nice atmosphere. Covered outdoor seating is available with some unique Mexican decor. Chips and salsa was kept filled while waiting for our food. Ordered soft tacos and steak quesadillas that were as good as anything local.

I’m so glad I decided to come here! Normally at lunch there isn’t a crowd here so it’s easy to get a table quickly & the service is great here too. I always get the street tacos. I can get a soft drink, a basket of chips & salsa, & 2 street tacos for a little over $9 here!

Don’t normally post negative reviews but this place needs a warning. Restaurant was only about half full but still took forever to get waited on and even longer for our food. Literally an hour. When the food came it was largely inedible. What was offered as carne asada was a thin stringy grey piece of meat cooked to a char on a flattop. No seasoning. No sauce. No pico. Just a small dab of sour cream and some brownish guac. Tacos Al carbon were no better
