We have dined here in the past and the experiences have been significantly better. It had been a couple of years since we dined in. My first red flag was it was a busy Friday night all through town. Every other restaurant in Hampton was packed… we walked in with zero wait, we were sat and the service was spotty and curt. We ordered our meals which came out cooked fine but way under seasoned. I had a short rib with zero flavor, no salt and no sauce. It was extremely disappointing. To cap it off we had our children with us. We were told they had a kids chicken tender meal, we ordered it.. interesting what came out was a basket of McDonald’s chix nuggets. I took pictures and ate one because I didn’t believe they had the balls to send someone a couple blocks to get nuggets and re- sell them. But there is zero doubt in my mind they did.. it’s just sat to see what used to be a great local spot go south… very expensive for less than mediocre food and service.

Hagan’s is a vibe!! The food the drinks- the bartender S/O to Melanie!! We cannot wait to return. She made me a killer espresso martini, and completely set the tone for a great night. My husband ordered the lamp chop pops and was blown away! Our friend who accompanied us got a massive burger- which I was completely ogling over. There was a slight hiccup with my appetizer/meal; but Melanie mitigated the problem quickly with great understanding. I swapped it for a Caesar salad- and the homemade dressing!! Yum! The entire Hagan crew was so inviting and kind! Can’t wait for a date night to visit again.

My husband and I found this place by searching for places to eat while on vacation, and I am so thrilled we did. This was some of the best food we’ve had in quite some time. The goat cheese fritter salad is SUCH an experience. The decor is simple yet really tasteful. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming and our waiter was really funny and very kind. The experience was over all so wonderful and if we visit NH again we’ll be sure to be back!!!
