Festive little steakhouse nearby our lake house. Stopped by with a larger group, the waitress was so attentive and caring to her tables. We got a bunch of cocktails that were all on the sweeter side. We also had asked for our steak medium rare, but they came out medium well to well done. Aside from the food feedback, our soups, sides and shareables were all delicious. We all had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our dinner there. Great team of staff who checked in on us throughout the meal.

Very good service, the salad is very good and the steak is one of the best I’ve ever tried, very juicy and soft, in my personal opinion it just lacks a little flavor, but that is fixed with the seasonings they offer you, the place is a bit small but it has A very good atmosphere and very good attention.

The atmosphere is very inviting. You can dine inside at a table or at the bar, and there’s even seating outside in a nice shady area if you choose. The staff was wonderful from the host, waitress, and even the owner! Everyone contributing & checking to make sure custom are taken care of and happy. It was our first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Passing threw town and had to have repairs on boat trailer. Asked locals where to eat and this place was recommended. I had the pork chop lunch portion. Wow! Best pork chop I’ve had! Food was great, service perfect and owner so personable. When he found out about our travel troubles he offered to help out anyway he could. Tire southern hospitality!

We totally enjoyed our dinner! Barbara was so sweet. Our steak was cooked just the way we asked. My favorite was the Strawberry Tequila Smash! It was our first visit, highly recommended by friends. Our trip did not disappoint! We will be back! Management was visible and friendly..

Haggerty’s is a welcome reprieve from the road and is a shining star in the midst of chain restaurants and big name fast food. Barbra, our waitress, showed us so much warm hospitality and took the time to make sure my wife and I were completely satisfied. She was so charming and warm and made us feel at home. From a food perspective, both my wife and I had the burger (she had the single patty and I had the double) with sweet potato fries and I had a baked potato as my side. We split Haggerty’s loaded fries as an appetizer with a couple pepsis and a water. We were traveling through Roanoke Rapids and prefer to enjoy local business instead of chains and Haggerty’s is it!

I was Traveling from NY to Florida and spent the night in Roanoke Rapids. Was looking for a place for dinner and preferably not a chain restaurant. Haggerty caught my eye. Great choice. I had a musroom cheeseburger that I would say was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Paired it with a baked potato that also was perfectly cooked. Reasonable prices. Would have liked if they had draft beer though.
