The new owner of Haldi Chowk is a truly skilled chef who takes great pride in his dishes. You can still order traditional Indian dishes which are incredibly fresh but his fusion dishes are not to be missed. The very friendly new owner gently gives suggestions and we are blown away by his creations. I tried the squash and beet cakes on Friday night and they were so delicious that I actually felt like I needed slow my chewing down because I needed the experience to last. I can’t remember the last time I spent an entire day thinking about how delicious food was but that is how I spent Saturday. Long story short, on Saturday night I ordered them again! My husband loves the fish cakes and last night ordered the lamb pot pie which he said was outstanding. We use takeout from Haldi Chowk and last night I decided I’m going to take all of the food out of their takeout containers and serve them on fine China. Once you’ve eaten here, you will get excited about food again!

Long time waiting…….…the new owner (Salil aka Sal) is not only a professionally trained executive chef but also an entrepreneur and a very kind person………….I have already been to Haldi Chowk multiple times in the last couple of months and even hosted a family & friends get together……..the food quality is great certainly has improved drastically from previous owners/chefs and yes I am also referring to the time when the place was on triple D’s (not sure what and how Guy Fieri liked their food back then!)…….and not to mention the new additions Sal is bringing on the menu………….strongly recommend for people to visit for really great Indian (north) food including some mind-blowing twists…..for instance try the dessert chai-misu (looks Tiramisu but isn’t) – I am sure you will love it!!!!!!!!!!!

The new owner/chef is an absolute delight and his culinary vision hit the mark. Had the Mushroom Truffle Ravioli, Chicken Samosa Pot Pie, and tried the Indian Cheesecake and Chai tiramisu and it was the most inspiring food I’ve had in town in a long time.

The food is delicious; when you dine-in, it is very fresh. I tried the seafood cakes, one of the new items, and I was impressed that they were portioned perfectly and on top of a bed of fresh greens(with a light dressing to boot!). I have also had the samosas with chaat and both are fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Went to this restaurant for the 1st time last night. You must try the beet & squash croquettes. It was heavenly. The chicken Tikka was also very juicy & tender. Their cheesecake was out of this world. Will definitely be back !!

We had a wonderful dinner and met a new owner chef. His new creation of Indian infused health conscious ingredients Indian cuisine were delightful. We will be definitely coming back and try more of his creations. desserts were great as well. My favorite was chaimisu ( used chai tea instead of coffee) No sugar was used but great light texture and delicate flavor. Excellent.

Guy Fieri was right, our meal started with the best samosas I’ve ever had, with chickpeas and a combination of sauces! The tandoori chicken, butter chicken, lamb dishes all followed, equally delicious and served by our friendly waiter Tom and the owner Anu. What a lovely evening and for a very reasonable price, particularly given the level of cuisine. They offer takeout/delivery as well, but the service will have us back to enjoy another evening out with our friends.

Old owners were great, new owners are great. Do not let the reviews of the new owners steer you away. Chef was out taking orders, explaining food, and talking about how he is revamping the menu to include Indian American fusion dishes. Still great food, and will continue to be back.

I haven’t eaten from this restaurant in 2 years. It was fantastic then. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout tonight and unfortunately we were super underwhelmed and bummed. The chicken dish we ordered was pretty good but the veggie dishes clearly used frozen veg that were basically sponges of water. The garlic naan didn’t taste fresh either with basically no garlic! Maybe we’ll have a better experience if we try in person?? ♀️
