The food was really good. The shrimp poboy was delicious- not an exact match but impressive, and the Mac and cheese was proper and well seasoned. I wasn’t expecting much in this small town in terms of soul food, so I was pleasantly surprised, especially because I’m from New Orleans! But the chicken tenders were well seasoned and perfectly fried and the music and vibes in the small restaurant were cozy. The fresh lemonade was a tad sour, but it was an easy fix with a sugar packet. I would def recommend this place for some good home cooked soul food!

I’m definitely gonna finish the rest at home, I am not easily impressed by generic catfish but this is anything but Generic. I absolutely love cat fish. Coming from someone who lives in the middle of nowhere Texas! I loved it! This was so good. I’m thoroughly impressed. Thank you.

We had 2 and 3 piece combos tonight and we just had to say it was so delicious! It’s so rare to find good southern food up here. The chicken strips were seasoned well and moist yet crunchy. 10/10. The Mac and cheese was delicious with a good cheese pull. 13/10. The fries were good and the coleslaw was good too. The sweet tea was very sweet, it reminded me of my late mothers. Also the lobby had good music playing and the front desk girls were very fast and kind. We can’t wait to eat here again, it’s our new date splurge spot.

Everything was amazing about my meal. The mac n cheese was delicious and reminded me of the food back home in South Carolina. The chicken was crispy, and moist, the fries were perfect too. 10/10. Definitely coming back.

I ordered the 5 piece chicken combo with fries and coleslaw as the sides, and a seperate order of Mac and cheese, and (2) beignets. For side sauces i ordered their signature “crack” and honey bbq. This ended up as a satisfying meal for two people, or a larger meal for one.

Yeah wow their fried chicken tenders are friggin delicious, no joke! Perfectly crispy, not an over amount of breading like some places and man oh man they melt in your mouth. Their max n cheese is real cheese too. Not the velveta cream kind, real cheese. Don’t see that too often anywhere. The fries were also real homemade kind too. I don’t get a chance to try their coleslaw, next time tho.

We came in on a Sunday and were the only people in there. I was hoping it wasn’t the type of place that makes a large batch of strips at a time and we would end up with hour old chicken that had been kept warm. That was not the case. They were cooked to order perfectly, tender and flavorful. There was no weird tendon or slimy anything in these strips either. I thought the ranch was good but didn’t try any other sauces. The fries were good too and fresh as well. My only complaint is the saltiness of the Mac n cheese, which would otherwise have been amazing. There was a steady stream of takeout and door dash orders. The employees were nice enough, but busy and really just left us alone, which is fine. We will definitely be back and I’ll try the Mac again and hope it was just a one off day.

chicken was FANTASTIC, crispy and super well seasoned! their sauces are fantastic. but i wouldn’t recommend the Mac and cheese… super super peppery, left my mouth tasting nothing but spice instead of savory and cheesy, which is what I think most people hope for in Mac and cheese 🙂 also very over cooked and very stringy and sticky, may be for some people but not for me personally. will order chicken again, but not the Mac and cheese, nice staff 🙂

I want to start this off by saying the food is absolutely amazing. The chicken sandwich is delicious, the Mac n cheese is delicious, chicken strips? Delicious. However, tonight we ordered an additional $6.25 side of Mac N Cheese because we wanted a bigger portion to share, the portion you get is just a scoop of Mac n cheese smashed into a small 4-6oz to go cup? Similar to what you pay an extra $3 for when you get a side with your chicken strips. We ordered our food to be ready at 5:30pm and it wasn’t ready until 6pm. It seems like things are getting slower and portions are getting smaller as the restaurant ages. While we love their food, I don’t feel like overpaying is worth it. Hopefully they get all of the kinks worked out soon!

Very good chicken, has a nice pickle brine to it. The shrimp po-boy was good too but messy (not a bad thing). Mac and cheese is a must get. Everything stayed crispy with a take out. Looking forward to eating in the restaurant, it was very nice inside.
