This place has a good ambience and a decent seating(indoor and outdoor) with a decent bar. Ordered honey chipotle shrimp tacos, raw oysters, chargrilled oysters and crawfish. Shrimp tacos and chargrilled oysters are tasty ordered few drinks they are good too. Unfortunately they missed to get us crawfish and closed the kitchen for which they apologised and gave some discount. Overall food was good. Customer service is ok. But the very reason we went to there to try crawfish was missed and had to visit another restaurant

I liked visiting half shells. It’s a neat concept. I came early to put our name in for a table because I was meeting a party. As I waited I sat at the bar, I Loved the bar. The bartender made me a wonderful tequila old fashioned that I drink as I enjoyed myself hold watching The University of Tennessee play baseball.

Great seafood options and cool vibe for a Saturday afternoon with some March madness on TV. We got to the restaurant around 4, in time for HH which is 3-6 everyday. Enjoyed some fried pickles (very good) to start, a draft beer for me & margarita for my wife. Service was very friendly, but a little bit slow. Fried shrimp and shrimp & grits were excellent. It’s not always easy to get well prepared seafood in the area but Half Shells delivered. We’ll be back!

This place has the best oysters I’ve ever had . If you’ve had oysters before some are hard to chew because of the taste these will leave you wondering how come all the ones before couldn’t be this good. My wife had the flounder and I had the crusted cod Oscar. The food was great I’d definitely comeback especially for some oysters . The only reason I gave 4 stars was the lack of beer choices. Both on draft and bottle. They seem to have a good selection on wines.

Fantastic service! The food was 3 star and the service was 5 stars. The oyster nacho appetizer was fantastic, we also shared a crab cake that was very good. The shrimp and grits weren’t very good sadly, this was my second day in a row to eat this meal (2 different restaurants) so it was a direct comparison to the other meal, the grits were too mushy, the bacon didn’t have the sweetness that the menu promised and the shrimp had little or no seasoning. If you took a bite with the sausage it was good but the amount of melted butter was just too much. I also sampled a shrimp taco, it was flavorful but overall just okay. I’d gladly return for drinks and apps.
