This is the most idyllic RV park. There’s a restaurant attached with 10 types of pies. The owners made it a lovely communal space – little touches like table cloths and flowers on the picnic benches. Also free wi-fi! The French fries ARE OFF THE CHAIN

We love this place. It’s just by Whitney Gardens, which is a favorite destination of ours. Stopping at Halfway House is a tradition with us. Everytime we come up this way we stop for lunch. Always good food, always. We love the wait staff who have been there for years. It’s a small place, great cafe menu. Love the atmosphere and the locals. Five stars.

We’ve driven by this place so many times! Definitely a don’t judge a book by its cover situation. We finally stopped in today for lunch and we were so glad we did! Very tasty grilled sandwiches and the side salad and chowder were also tasty! Service was good and prices were decent. They serve fresh pie and milkshakes but we were too full after lunch. This will be one of our new spots when driving up the 101!

Small town dinners are the best, friendly staff, good food and large portions. I had the famous Halfway House Burger, but keto meant no bun. They had no problem serving me, the first to their knowledge, Halfway House Burrito! Always nice when the kitchen is adaptable. I’d have taken a picture of the giant cinnamon-roll, but it disappeared.

Hidden little gem off the highway, our food and service was so great! The owner was cooking and really cares about her food and the quality, many items are made from scratch. My kids loved the giant homemade cinnamon rolls and pancakes.

Split pea soup was a little watery and not a lot of flavor. Took a long time to get the food. Sandwich was good (roast beef). Server was friendly

My new favorite breakfast. Stuffed French Toast. Why have I never had this before? Cozy warm atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back for dinner!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and had minimal wait. The food came out perfect. Fish and chips was really good, not the frozen type and the tarter was spot on. Dessert was amazing!! White chocolate toffee pie, banana pie and a blackberry cobbler which was the star of the show. They also have great outdoor/picnic table style seating options if you’re a bigger party or have kids and just want to be outside.
