Eating here is a beautiful experience for all 5 senses. The food and drinks are full of color and flavor. So many vegetarian options. The boutique and music are amazing. And Bryant is such a kind soul. Be sure to order sweets! This has become my favorite restaurant in Tallahassee.

I felt fairly good about this place. It’s smaller and the food takes a little while, but it’s ok. I’m not sure if I’ll be back but I didn’t hate it. I am curious about how their oxtails taste but kinda nervous they’ll be just as mediocre as the fufu and egusi we tried. Honestly I felt like the chicken was boiled in water in a separate pot somewhat deboned and sat on top of the stew… wish it was more seasoned but ‍♀️. The small complementary cup of tea I was given was the best overall. Until I ordered a normal sized cup to go and it wasn’t as flavorful. Yea.. probably won’t be back but it was nice, quaint, and clean inside!

Disappointing, sadly. I feel like they could’ve put a lot more care into the production and flavor of these dishes. The fufu in particular was a flavorless, inedible mush. Please consider working on this, y’all. I was really looking forward to some delicious stew, fufu, and jollof, but I have to seek it elsewhere (probably Atlanta?). I hope y’all work on improving the recipes and production because Florida needs more quality African food options when dining out

Delicious vegan-friendly and carnivore options! I’ve never had these dishes before, and it was so great to try African cuisines from different countries. Each plate was comforting and stewed with various spices. So flavorful!

This is a gem of a restaurant, a rare find in Tallahassee. The food is so flavorful. My wife and I had two different bowls for lunch (the Sankofa and the Swahili bowl) and they were both excellent. You can’t find another place like this in Tallahassee. I strongly recommend it.

Love love love! Tried for the first time yesterday after wanting to go for months! I got the egusi with fufu because our waitress said it was a fan favorite. I loved it! I also love that all the options are vegan/vegetarian friendly until you add your protein 🙂 I will definitely be back!

Very good food. Had the Beef Swahili. The plantains were sweet and tender. Wife had the Chicken Saraha. Atmosphere is friendly. It’s family owned and operated and a jewel in Railroad Square’s crown.
