A great find for sushi in the northeast! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and very clean, giving a great atmosphere. Tables for 4 are in the center of the restaurant, and bigger groups have seating in individual rooms that line the perimeter. We were very happy with the portion sizes for the prices. They have sushi, bento, and udon and ramen soups. One kids menu item. We were seated quickly, and our food came out very quickly. They served as it was ready, so the food did get served staggered, which was fine for us.

So my family & I have been eating at Hamachi since they opened. We understand that some days are better than others that is until this past Friday. We went & the service was the worst it has ever been. We ordered the green mussels for an appetizer. Our server came over to the table 3 times once for order, then to deliver food and for the check. The table next to us got great service and their server checked on them multiple times. I found myself consistently looking for our server to add to our order & do an order to go. The order had to be added when we got our bill and the appetizer came out as we were leaving. It was a terrible experience and we found ourselves waiting long periods when there were only two other tables. I contacted the manager by phone (she was pretty short with me and kinda rude, minimizing our experience) and was told that this is normal and that this appetizer takes that long (50 minutes). Like I said we have been coming for years and this is not the norm as she said. I was hoping she would at least say something to make it better but she didn’t. Anyways that was our last time eating there. I hope other have better experiences.
