This review is very late but we definitely need to give credit where credit is due. David and Tara went above and beyond to ensure our small wedding went without a hitch back in October. From the planning until the day of our event, they were both so responsive and saw our vision come to life. The food and atmosphere is always amazing. My dad who lives out of town, told me David was so welcoming when he checked into the airbnb upstairs. Thank you Hamden Inn for helping us create amazing memories with our families.

I’ve been here a dozen times and every time, everything has been great! Their specials are always fun and delicious. Nice to have such a quality place near by. Expect to wait for a table, grab a crafty beer, a highlife or a cocktail at the bar.

Food was stellar, considering the amount of people, it also came quickly. We celebrated my mom’s birthday, we had a large party, including 2 young children and they were taken care of all night, not a tear was shed or a tantrum had. They brought out a special appetizer for us and a piece of their AMAZING peanut butter pie, at the end of the night, with a candle, which I’m sure my mom hated drink menu was creative and different, the first I tried wasn’t great but the drink with the pomegranate and gin was *chef’s kiss* 6 adults and 2 kids, with about 10 adult beverages and dessert, ate for between $200 and $250. Which really isn’t bad I think. I ordered the cod, that was amazing, my mom had the catfish which she loved, my partner had a steak. Everyone loved what they got. I totally recommend the truffle fries!

2nd time I’ve eaten at the Hamden Inn when visiting Franklin, NY – the restaurant is really nice and the food is equally delicious – this time I tried the steak frites and it was really good. For dessert we shared the cookie ice cream sandwich and it was solid – the cookies were really soft, gooey, and just right with the melt of the vanilla ice cream! Service was great and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was great / we sat outside and could hear the nature as no music was playing.

Happy to see this place thriving and bringing people to Hamden. Drinks are great and bartenders know their stuff. If your a burger person definitely get the hamden burger. It’s only topped by a burger I had in Flagstaff after hiking the Grand Canyon. And I love what they did with the decor, bar is still as I remember as a kid and the rest of it feels lighter and no were near as dark as it was. Over all I highly recommend the Handen Inn

Dinned at the Hamden Inn on 6/11/22. Food was superb, service was excellent! The ambiance was cut & eclectic. However, my friend & I each had 2 glasses of wine each (2+2=4) we were charged for 8 glasses. We brought it to our servers attention. We were told “new system”. The manager told us he fixed it and I should see a credit on my CC. Today looked at CC only to a refund for 2 of the 4 glasses of wine we were over charged for.

Best spot in town. Owners did a really great job with the recent renovation. We ate dinner there twice and was really happy with the portions and quality of food. It was really good!
