Our waiter Steve was not paying attention to us . Although he was attentive to all the white customers. I was amazed how he ignored my hand. To tend to the couple next to us . When they never gestured for him. Honestly we was shocked. We are still here . I think he’s avoiding us. I got the golden mashed potatoes and 22 oz ribeye steak cooked perfectly but the food wasn’t seasoned so well. Also aged steak burger with steak fries. But the shift manager in the purple shirt slightly bald was on it. He was nice and attentive. Real cool guy . Don’t worry I still will tip I honestly think . This place is overrated. High prices .The aged steak burger my friend said was amazing so that’s great. I should have tired the meatloaf.

The best thing we had was the lamb chops and they were an 18.00 appetizer. Our 45.00 steak was not hot and was merely warm when we received it. It also had the oddest color. It tasted fine but had a ton of fat. The green beans were good but the little side polenta cakes…I thinks that’s what they were…were cold and a little hard. We would have went to Baxter’s but Hamilton Walker’s was within walking distance of the Virgiania Theater and we were attending a show. This place has a great atmosphere and the service is also very good but the food…way too high priced for the quality.

If you want an experience that’s comparable to Wildfire (upscale steakhouse restaurant in Chicago and other cities) in Champaign, this is your place. All around upscale atmosphere, delicious and high quality food, amazing and prompt service, and located in the heart of downtown Champaign.

5-stars. Food was excellent! Atmosphere was relaxed & sophisticated without being stuffy. We enjoyed ourselves and will return. One observation: The waiter did not introduce himself, but the service was excellent. Thanks Hamilton Walker’s!

Excellent service, great atmosphere. A little pricey for me. I had the penne seafood and the spiced tomato butter was a thinner than I expected. Still tasty though.

he food was amazing. 4 people could easily share the Mac and cheese. The steak was the best I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was beautiful, quiet and clean. The best part of the meal was our waitress Savanna. She was the best waitress we’ve ever had. We will definitely come back.

This is one of the fanciest restaurants in Champaign. The layout seems to be divided into a diner like front section, while the back section is a high class establishment. We went to Costco and got $100 gift cards for $80, which provided plenty for a great evening date. The lamb chops, although small, were our favorite dish. I definitely would go back for special events.

Steaks were great. They ran out of lobster tails which is what it is. Cocktails were great. The gentlemen who I’m guessing was the manager provided great service/interaction but our waiter/waitress wasn’t much better than ordering from an iPad. Decor is also kind of weird for a steakhouse.

This place is pricey but delicious! Definitely not a place to eat every night but a great place for special occasions! For the last 3 years, me and my husband have gone here every year for our anniversary and we always enjoy it!
