Finally made it! I’ve been wanting to dine here for far too long and I wish I would have come here sooner. This is by far the best restaurant in York and a new favorite all around! Service is phenomenal (we had Sam who was a total gem), the food is perfection, and the atmosphere is just lovely and quite cozy. I appreciated the sampling of sauces before we ordered, as well as the appetizer sampler! The samosa was incredible. I also recommend the creamy butter sauce – tangy, savory, sweet, rich and spiced to your preference. We can’t wait to return for another meal!

I’ve gotten take out many times and it’s was delicious so I decided to go in person. This was the most authentic meal I’ve had in so long. The atmosphere was lovely. The dishes were so fresh. They also accommodate all food allergies which was good for my family. I will be back again!

I cannot say enough about Hamir’s. Just came here for the first time and was completely blown away with just how amazing the food and dessert was. The service was outstanding and Hamir the owner comes out to talk to every table personally, which is unheard of now. Outstanding!

I have been hearing about this restaurant for about a year now and we finally got the chance to go. Let me start by saying the last time I had really good Indian food I was in Germany about 8 years ago, until today. The moment we walked in we knew we were in for a fantastic meal, the staff professional, warm and welcoming. You can smell the fragrance of fresh herds and spices that are so distinct with Indian cuisine. Being a former soue-chef we had a really great feeling about this place, positive vibes were in the air definitely. First off the cocktails were fantastic I highly recommend the ginger infused “old fashion”, we ordered “samosas” appetizer I had this once in Seattle and wasn’t impressed, Hamir’s rendition knocked it out the park! definitely a “must have”, for my meal I had to go “traditional” and had the lamb curry, everything about Indian food that I fell in love with year’s ago was completely restored with the first bite. With a table full of “foodies” silence is an indication of “instant approval”, I’m not a real dessert person but we ordered Gulab Jamun w/ice cream that was a blurry memory, we inhaled it in minutes you can’t leave this place without trying it. Sorry for the long read, but my recommendation goes as follows, if you are ever in great state of Pennsylvania it would be in your best interest to visit this fine culinary establishment I personally guarantee that you will be completely satisfied and grateful you did.

I give it 10 stars! The food is exquisite. The best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a VERY long time. All of the servers are welcoming, especially Sam and Kari (dont know the name of the other server who showed us the dishes as they came out) They provide a small sampling of the different curries, there are different spice/heat levels, which makes this family friendly for kids or those who dont prefer spicy foods. There is something for everyone! And try to save room for dessert! The menu options are amazing, but they also have specials like Oreo mouse cake or Lemoncello. Absolutely the best! It was a great pleasure to meet Chef Hamir, as he took a moment to visit with each table. Highly recommend making a reservation, as they fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Enjoy!

The ambiance is great! Loved the decor small and intimate! Lettie, our waitress was so kind and gentle and explained perfectly to all the questions I had since it was our first time. The food was Def a 4/5. The lamb was so tender. The issue with the chicken was that it seemed overcooked and dry. The rice didn’t have any flavor, no salt or anything, but im assuming its because you mix it with the curry. Rice would not be eaten by itself by me. Once we told lettie we never been, she served us with samplings of the curries, AND you can add spice from 1-5!! The naan that came with the rice was so soft make sure thats dipped in the curry! We are DEF. Coming back!!!

This is the only place that I’ve ever reviewed that has gotten 5 stars in all categories, and that isn’t limited to restaurants. I’ve been going there for years and somehow they always seem to outdo themselves year after year. I cannot recommend this place enough. Stop scrolling through reviews and just go here. The owner is an absolute sweetheart of a person and the staff mirror that quality. The food is absolutely fantastic with rotating specials. The owner is still the head chef, and he enjoys bringing new dishes to the restaurant. I never order off my menu. The specials are his heart and soul, and it shows in the food. If you’re still reading, seriously, stop reading and make a reservation now.

Let me just say, it was absolutely AMAZING! Before ordering, the server allowed us to sample the different sauces so we could feel confident in knowing we would love our food. I was originally going to order tikki masala, but the sampling changed my mind to the creamy butter sauce. All of the sauces were so good, but the creamy butter sauce was perfect. I didn’t think the sauces were spicy, and you are given the option to add spice. I thought it was better than any Indian food I’ve ever had. As for dessert, I ordered the mango custard. It tasted even better than it looks, and it looks beautiful.
