All you can eat crab for $60! The gumbo is very flavorful just like you get in New Orleans. Real crab cakes and crispy hush puppies. French dip had tons of roast beef… couldn’t keep it all in the sandwich. Nicole was awesome. Great suggestions for the first time diner! Overall a great experience. Grab LIFE by the Claws!

The fact there were no local vehicles in the lot should have been the first clue.. but I was hoping that this new restaurant in this high turnover location may be the one..man was I wrong. I ordered the crusted crab flounder. The “crusted crab” was not crusted at all. The flounder was very mushy like an old frozen flounder fillet. It was drowned in the butter sauce. When I expressed my complaint to the manager, he did not seem surprised and asked if I would like something else. I told him, “no thanks and I’m not going to be eating this either”. He did take my meal off the ticket. The coleslaw was bland and probably the absolute worst I’ve ever had. My hush puppies were beautiful on the outside and under cooked on the inside. The garlic loaf was tasty but that’s about all the credit I can give this restaurant. I sampled my spouses fried shrimp…while she had no complaint, I immediately detected the overwhelming flour with heavy pepper taste that overpowered the shrimp. I think this place will not last as long as the two previous restaurants. At any rate, I would not suggest this place at all. It may draw business from the unknowing tourists but that is about all.

Last night we decided to try The Hammered Crab. No regrets y’all! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly hostesses, sat at a table covered in butcher paper and nice comfortable chairs. The restaurant is clean with bright beach decor. Of course we had to try a couple of their drinks! my husband had the “Tidal Wave” and I had the “Beach, Please!” We both loved our drinks and his even came with a little stingray ((((awwwww)))) our waitress, Abigail was the best! She was personable and very sweet. We ordered the AYCE (all you can eat) crab which was decently priced and a better deal than just ordering a single portion. Served with the best garlic drizzled bread, potatoes and corn. We are so glad we decided to check out the Hammered Crab I’m sure we will be back again soon.

Libby was our server, and she was amazing! Food was great – my husband got the AYCE crab legs, and they were great! They had those crab legs coming in buckets! This would have been a 5-star review, but for Father’s day lunchtime, they only had 2 servers, and it was busy – this is on the management – POOR management, that is!

So we tried the new Hammered Crab tonight (next to SW paint store on 59) and it did not disappoint! Check it out before it becomes packed with tourists! Prime rib was on point, crabs were perfect as was the shaved prime rib French dip with onion straws. Our server T was AMAZING! We will be back

Holy craB! This place was delicious! I got the All-You-Can-Eat snow crab and not only was the quality really good but that butter is sublime. My best friend got the baby back ribs and they were legit fall off the bone. Incredible. The French dip which another friend got was really good too. Drinks were strong and tasty. An absolutely wonderful experience only made better by our server Emily. She was on top of everything. We wanted for nothing. She did a great job. Very cool restaurant. Would defiantly recommend and go back again.

So delicious….don’t pass up The Hammered Crab. We had the Prime Riv and Crab Boil for two. It was fabulous. Abby was our server and she was extremely friendly and very attentive to serving us. The bartender made a couple very refreshing and delicious cocktails.

Even though it’s a crab place, prime rib is fantastic!! Crab legs were awesome. The owner and staff were super friendly, personable, and just great conversation. This is now one of our go tos when in Gulf Shores!
