Nice host . It was a stormy day and not many people . The kids were able to play in the snow in nearby area and we enjoyed fresh and warm food. Will recommend stopping anytime in this area.

OUTSTANDING!!! So we had no idea where to stop, seen this place and tried it. So glad we did! The burger Pattie’s are hand pressed. They make almost everything homemade. My wife said their clam chowder was the best she ever had. Better than the several we ate in Monterey and SF.

I didn’t eat here. We stopped to use the restroom on a trip. The staff said the bathrooms were for paying customers. She said we could put a few dollars in the can and use the restroom. The bathrooms were so bad, beyond awful.

We stopped at Ham’s in the middle of a two week road trip. It felt like we were at home with how friendly and down to earth the staff and owners are. Such a great family that took on restoring a great piece of California’s history. If we ever travel Carson’s pass again we will spend another night here. The food was great, cooked by Bob who came from a upscale restaurant past. We stayed till close and stayed right nearby and came back in the morning for breakfast. Awesome Bloody Marys were being made for a group of riders. My wife had a giant breakfast burrito that she had to pack half of. The biscuits and gravy were amazing. Bob put sausage and bacon in the gravy. The bartender, Jody is so kind and a pro, you’d swear you were being served by one of Vegas’s finest.

Best place to eat if you are traveling east or west on highway 88. Great food and lots of it, chef is top notch and the service is very good. This is a must stop if you are road tripping on highway 88 for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Rustic coolness and magnificent mountain location is awesome at Ham’s Station! Small business excellence is found in this hole in the wall type spot! Friendly owner and small town camaraderie. Cabins are available for overnight stay, too.
