Stumbled onto the Hana Ho Cafe when the restaurant across the street that was recommended to us was closed. My wife and I consider ourselves “foodies”, so we don’t make complements like this lightly, but the Hana Ho Cafe serves excellent food. They have live music 6 nights a week. We went on a Monday night and the place was two thirds full, for good reason. We ordered two of their specials, a local fish and a Morraccan lamb dish. Both were perfectly prepared. It’s too bad we discovered this place on our last night in Hawaii. Don’t miss it if you’re on Maui!

Tasty little spot on Kokomo road, my girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner after driving the (harrowing) Hanã highway. Service was great however the menu was a bit bland. They do have some Hawaiian options which we didn’t try. I had the tempura Ono (Wahoo) which was ok but missed the point of tempura, more like something you might find wrapped in news print outside a London chippy. Also the sides that accompanied it were white rice and macaroni salad… A fresh green salad would have been great!

I gave a low rating not based on the food or service which I never got to experience, but because the hours posted on here are not correct. I showed up for breakfast and the owner was vacuuming and said they don’t do breakfast anymore. Also there are no hours posted on the building or online that I could find reflecting this so I was really bummed in drove all the way out to the area from kihei and couldn’t even eat here. Too bad.

I’ve only been once and had a burger. It must have been previously frozen and was cooked to death. Haven’t been back since.
