The food here has always been delicious. Today, I ordered the avocado and black bean wrap (which I just had 5 days ago as well). While eating the first half, there was absolutely no avocado, so I went back up to the counter to let them know. The young man behind the counter began arguing with me that he put half an avocado in my wrap. I then opened up the other half of my wrap to show him, and he pointed at one tiny quarter-sized piece of avocado, and said, “See, there’s the avocado,” and continued arguing that he put half an avocado in there. It was ridiculous to claim that that tiny sliver was my avocado! He then (rudely) said that he would give me the other half. The female behind the counter was not any nicer. They were both extremely rude, and, at this point, I had to add the avocado to my wrap, which made it difficult to roll it back into a wrap. Overall, a very disappointing trip to Hank’s at Dayton!!

My husband and I had lunch there today. Food was good, but our barbecued brisket, which we paid extra to get, was mostly fat and a very small portions. $26 a seemed like a lot for a small cup of soup and a sandwich that was mostly fat and not much meat. I don’t mind the extra charge, but would like a decent portion.

Hank’s has the best steak and cheese subs I’ve ever had in the world and definitely beats Subway or any other place I’ve had steak and cheese subs.

Awesome barbecue but a little pricey. Brunswick stew, good. Sides are decent but serving portion too small for the cost. Friendly staff. Clean but congested dining area with basic low-key seating with no decor.

The line was shorter than expected, the service was fast and the food was delicious. My favorite is the cashew chicken salad. I like it so much I bought one to take home and have for lunch Lots of yummy choices!

The $6.99 choice of 2 items was pricey for what you got. The BBQ was served on 1 slice of bread (roll was not an option for 1/2 sandwich) and the Brunswick stew was watery beef vegetable soup with grease floating . it definitely was not Brunswick stew. Pork BBQ was okay but a little tough. Not worth the cost for the small serving.

Nice to have a place to get good food away from DT HBurg. Had the sampler, very good, the pork was the best of it. Service was great, atmosphere quiet, staff friendly, will definitely return!
