My wife and I loved it here! Staff was friendly and helpful. My wife loved her pulled pork sandwich. I had a three meat sampler with slaw and fries. The pulled pork was perfect, excellent sauce on the ribs and the sausage was perfectly seasoned. Love the seasoning y’all use on the fries too. Only suggestions are to give a bit more slaw and leave some sauce on the tables for those who like to add some more. We will be coming back next time we visit Harpers Ferry. Thank you.

This place looked and smelled pretty good from the outside; however, I ordered their ribs and was a little alarmed to find that they had a slightly fishy-chemically aftertaste. I actually had to send the dish back (something I haven’t done at a restaurant for several years).

My wife and I went here after smelling the delicious aromas of barbecue and fish the night before. My wife got the philly cheese sandwich with coleslaw and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a few bites of her meal and it was fresh and delicious. I got the ribs (half rack) and couldn’t even finish my meal. The ribs were covered in a thick layer of BBQ sauce and the meat seemed to of been boiled and left in too long or something. Service was nice but we were expecting more with the whole experience. The place is popular though so perhaps we came at a bad time.

This place was horrible, the wait staff was overwhelmed, the iced tea was the worst, Cole slaw was horrible with no taste, brisket was rubbery, pulled pork was scooped out of a crock pot and the cook puts the fries on your plate with his bare hands, I know because I seen him do it when we paid. The bathrooms were terrible with no paper towels. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I dont like to leave bad reviews but this place strived so hard to achieve it I didnt have any other choice. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Contrary to the map location, this is under new ownership and is now Junction Barbecue. The owner cleared out a load of debris in the old red train, expanded the kitchen, and added a deck. He also is active with the chamber of commerce and seeks to improve what is offered in the community. The barbecue was tender and delicious. I liked the chicken BBQ on a baked potato which avoids gluten. Come on in and seat yourself and relax!

This place was unfortunately pretty awful. First of all, it was very overpriced for the food you get both in terms of quality and quantity. The bathrooms are horrible, tiny and with a trickle of water coming from the sink. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed because of a number of difficulties. I would definitely not recommend this place at all. You can get better bbq for a better price just about anywhere else.

This place is a huge disappointment and needs a visit from the health department. From the outside you imagine going inside and eating incredible BBQ in a train car..but once inside all those images crumble. Once inside you seat yourself and wait to be served by one of several hard looking and hard acting small town girls. Once they hand you the greasy menu you start to look around at the mish mash dirty decor and you realize you can’t sit in the train car because they are instead using the seating for a disorganized office area. The place inside looks like somebody stopped caring 10 years ago…and it’s sad because the interior has so much potential and with just a little paint, a small clean up and some organization the place could be really amazing. Stacked right next to window where the food comes out…was a broken popcorn machine, a space heater, an old broom and boxes… it looked like a fire waiting to happen. In that window sat a unused 7-11 type nacho machine..filled with old chips. And get this..Buzzing around the room was two black wasps…fun! Well now for the food… Let’s make it easy… Overpriced! Frozen and fried! Greasy baskets! Paper plates! Bar food at best! Bagged pulled pork! $40.00 for two people and we drank water in foam cups.

This place is gross and the male cook worker with beardv was a direct asshokw to me. My half chicken was ice cold on the inside so I sent it back – which of course they microwaved so long it was as inedible. Female waitress was super nice and accommodating but skip this restaurant. There are PLENTY others that are good. There’s a reason this place is rated so low.

My wife and I had the Maryland crab cakes dinner. It was the best crab cakes I have ever had. The place it self needed some work and to be honest when we walked in we almost turned around and walked back out. Service was good.
