I think they recently changed ownership. My wife and I have eaten take-out from here countless times over the last 10+ years. We have always loved their food and thought it was the best Chinese food in the Rochester area. But, now something has changed over the last few months or so. in the last 6 visits our favorite dishes taste weird, the meat quality has really decreased and now has a lot of fat and gristle. I’m even finding pieces of arteries in my pork. I’m hesitant to eat breaded chicken as every piece is a mystery. The home made hot mustard at the counter is also separated and now comes out thick yellow followed by something dark and runny.

First time trying this place. Small storefront restaurant with seating for about 20 people at the most. The menu is the usual multi-item/dish Chinese restaurant with something for everyone. I had the Szechuan (sp?) chicken with rangoon (lunch special) and ordered an egg roll (add’l cost) besides. Very hot and fresh and tasty enough to meet any expectations. I will go back to try another dish at yet another time. Not much parking in front of the restaurant unless you are a handicapped driver but close enough parking spaces other than that.

Tucked in a little corner of Byron Minnesota is Happy China. They serve traditional Chinese meals with large portions at a very reasonable rate. The food is fantastic. If you call in your order will be ready within 30 minutes. A great alternative from fast food.
