Pictured is the spicy calamari, which was cooked well, tasted good but the texture was a little inconsistent. The house chicken fried rice was really good, atmosphere was alright and they do have fortune cookies so I was happy. Price was about average for pecos.

I feel really mixed about leaving this place a 3. I have been there 5 times but only ate there 3 because of the inattentive staff. That’s everywhere in the Permian Basin … I get it. But if you want a quick meal for lunch or dinner, this place is not for you. All that said, the food is pretty good (the first day).My leftovers the next day tasted like it had aged a week! They were promptly disposed of.

At here when I was in town. Food is alright I guess nothing to write home about. Place is inside a hotel pretty clean. Staff is friendly restaurant is pretty small but service was good. Portions wasn’t worthy the price especially when I ask for extra me (for a charge of course) and still get a tiny portion. Makes me question what the regular meal portions are.

The service was horrible but to be fair there was only one server and it was getting busy. Then the food came out and one of the orders was wrong, no problem, it happens. However, we tasted the food and we thought it was a joke, there was no flavor!!!!! It was just a combination fried rice!!! How could it be that bland? It tasted like steamed white rice. We asked our waitress and she said, ” what do you want me to do about it.” I asked to speak with the manager. It turns out that the manager is the owner and the cook as well!!! So, he comes out with his voice raised (which I tell him to lower) and he says cancel the order. He didn’t ask what was wrong nor did he offer to fix it. So we left. Stay away from this place!!

For a place like Pecos to have the quality of restaurant like this is surprising. The lunch menu was comparable to others in the area and portions are large. I had an entree off the lunch menu and was honestly shocked at how much food was on the plate. The food was flavorful and tasty. Don’t expect an amazing experience but for good, quality Chinese food in a place like Pecos, you’d be hard pressed to find a restaurant better. In fact, aside from Pody’s, I’d say it’s the best place in town. I hope this helps someone.

Now when we pulled up I was thinking to myself where did they bring me to eat lunch? Walked in to the restaurant area and was seated almost immediately. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Although there was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant my glass was never empty and she was constantly walking around constantly asking all the guest if they needed anything. Our food came out in under 6 minutes and was really good. I ordered the Mongolian beef and my only complaint was the meat to vegetables. The meal had about ³/⁴ vegetables and ¹/⁴ meat. Everything else was great and I will eat there again.

If you order something spicy don’t expect to get it that way. Sent it back and still didn’t get my order right. As I was writing this, waitress came by to make things right. I understand being the only waitress at dinner time. Food quality is surprisingly pretty alright for being in one of the worst towns in texas. And the waitress was did a great job keeping up with everyone. Wait time to put food on the table about 10-15 minutes at 7pm

We were very Happy, the place is very clean, the food and service was excellent. We are from Ohio and will stop again when we are thru. The place to eat is small but they have more space on the other side. Located inside the Quality Inn. The amount of food was a lot. The crab Rangoo was enormous with lots of filling.
