I got a bowl with half chow mein and half fried rice, and two veggie egg rolls. The chow mein and fried rice are both pretty good and not too oily like other places I’ve been. The sweet and sour dipping sauce for the egg rolls isn’t the best I’ve had but it’s decent. The worker was nice and asked if I needed any siracha or soy sauce packets and also provided me with napkins. Fast service.

Even tho the owner was young, he seemed very personable, responsible and nice. He really knows how to talk to people, and make them feel their service is important. The prices are amazing, every meal comes with a drink and they offered free samples. Definitely will be my new go to Chinese spot. Anyone in the rosedale/coffee area should defiantly try it out asap.

Great fresh ready-to-go take out. Very tasty. I got general tso’s chicken, butter shrimp, and black pepper fish. They made the fish ‘on demand’, and everything was 5-star. I got the noodles and three entrees (they call it a dragon chest, or something like that. )plus some cheese wontons. it was enough food for three meals, and came with a drink. Worth the money for certain.

The service is fantastic, the food is very, very good, and the prices are amazingly better than expected. My chicken fried rice was out of this world and my husband’s meal was great too. The portions are huge! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Deff won’t be coming back! It was clise to closing time, i’ll hive them that. We were too hungry to drive to our usual spot. N are searching for a good. Chinese food spot! Tried this one for the 1st time. & deff thee last. Service was nice, place was clean modern, and refreshing. But the food, oh no, as soon as we walked up, i regretted it! N realized we should have driven to our usual spot at east hills. Food was not tasteful at all our son usually is a fan of teriyaki chicken! He tasted theirs n spot ot right out! Our daughter was grossed out with her choice of black pepper chicken, the bell peppers were slimy, n the taste was disgusting! Deff NOT worth the $49! Threw all our left over food away when we usually take it home. Not this place!

I’m not one to post reviews at all! I tried this place BEFORE it was Happy Dragon and I wasn’t to pleased. I was nervous about giving Happy Dragon a try. I’m sure glad I did. So far it is the best Chinese food in Bakersfield. Panda Express doesn’t have anything on Happy Dragon. The rice is seriously bomb. I love this place.

I received in the mail a post card advertising Happy Dragon Chinese that if you visit them and bring in the post card then you receive a free bowl with a purchase so today, August 7, 2023, I visited them and purchased a plate with 2 items option and I purchased another 2 item plate and received a free bowl. A plus that you receive a soda for free with your order except the free bowl item which makes sence to me.

The lady who was working on 8/10/23 seem like she didn’t want to be there. Definitely was having a bad day. The food was not that great. The teriyaki chicken n souce had a weird smell and dirt taste. The honey shrimps were over cooked the breaded part was extremely hard. The Jalapeño chicken was sweet rather than spicy. Overall if you looking for good Chinese food stick on the east side or down town for it .

I called into the restaurant to make an order bur first wanted to know if the food had MSG (Monosodium glutamate) because I’m allergic to the ingredient put into most chinese food restaurants. The girl who took my call this morning did not know what MSG was, she got frustrated with me because she didn’t understand; I told her to ask the cook, and she told me that all the food has MSG, I said thank you, and she hung up! No good customer service to be frustrated and rude with a potential customer!
