Our party of 3 dined here for the first time last week, and we are glad to report we will be returning. We had the pleasure of being served by Renee and ordered the chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, and lasagna, which were all very flavorful and well portioned for the price! I didn’t notice until after I ordered that the eggplant parmesan is gluten free, and therefore they do not bread the eggplant. I would have rathered the breading but I can honestly say I did not miss it! Three dinner entrees and a glass of house wine came to about $60, which is a good deal.

Hubby loved the Lasagna he just wished it came with a piece of garlic bread for the price. We tried the Detroit style pizza. My son gave it a 2 out 5 stars. I gave it a 2.5 out of 5 stars. However we definitely will be ordering again! Next time we will try the Pizza Rolls, Mushroom Ravoli and a regular pizza! I will come back and update my review after my next order! Excellent Customer Service! Just wanted to give the server and Chef/Cook some props!

So I was torn between a 1 star and 2 star. I mean the food was edible, but just not very good. Very very VERY just passing. Shame, the waitress was very nice and attentive and the cooks were busy and I know trying.

Seems like a small local business and has a cozy interior. There was one waitress who was very friendly. Menu has a variety of interesting items ( such as pizza fries, that are at the top left in my photo) I had seafood pasta, and I couldn’t complain about lack of butter or sodium, as there were more than plenty!

Mere words can not describe this place! I normally take a picture of my dish, unfortunately, I forgot to this time and before I know my Lasagna Pie (Pizza) was gone. I was able to snag a photo of my wife’s dishes and the bread. I had the most amazing Pizza, which is now my favorite, I could literally taste the individual ingredients that made up the pizza, and yet they all melted together in mouth. Have you ever took a bite of something and the first word that comes to your mind is WOW, now that is fresh. The pizza crust was crispy, soft on the inside. The sauce was sooo full of flavor. There was traditional mozzarella, and of course fresh ricotta. Later I found out that the veggies are cut when my pizza is ordered. I was able to talk to the staff, and they made me feel like family. As our food came out, it looked like a cup of java animations with the steam rising. My wife’s lasagna was so rich with flavor that stuck to ya ribs. My kids has pepperoni and cheese pizza. My daughter said, Dad this is the best pizza I have ever eaten. Then, wait for it…. I had the canoli. Mamma Mia, was I in for treat. I had just eaten a cannoli at another well know venue few hours earlier and thought it was the best! Happy Italian’s was a tad bid creamier. Now it feels like I am cursed. Now ever time I eat a pizza, I will be comparing it to Happy Italian. All I can say is the Happy Italian, made this lil cajalian happy! I will be finding an excuse to get back to Harahan!
