Decided to try this place based on the positive reviews and was not disappointed. Ordered pan-fried noodles with shrimp, which contained at least 5 different fresh vegetables and a good amount of shrimp. Tasty sauce allowed the individual flavors to come through. Portion was large, enough for dinner and enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Bought some extra rice to stretch it, since there was plenty of sauce. Owner is cheerful, friendly, very helpful, and eager to accommodate customers. Several regulars came by during my time there and all interactions were familiar and warm. This is a great little local place in Winthrop, and it won’t break the bank. Highly recommended!

Tried this the other day. I’ve purchased general gau’s combo with lo mein. I switched over from the nearby happy garden. They are very similar. However I’d say this one is slightly sweeter, crispier and spicier.

We were staying at Winthrop Beach and ordered online for pickup. Ordering worked well, and was ready pretty quickly. The order was filled correctly, portion sizes were very good for the price, and everything tasted really good.

The place goes by the name Happy Kitchen now, and I swear the quality has improved drastically. The sweet & sour pork was over-the-top with a super generous portion, and all the food arrived screaming hot which earns them high points immediately. We ordered delivery from GrubHub and it took about 15-20 minutes rather than the usual hour and a half.
