I love Happy Teriyaki and I’ve tried different branches in Boise and Nampa, but this 12th Ave one is what I say makes the best chicken teriyaki out of all of them! The meat isn’t too burnt, it’s soft, and the owner is really nice! My go-to order is always the “Chicken Teriyaki with EITHER Tempura Prawn or Grilled Shrimp Combo”. Try that order if it’s your first time here. 🙂 I left 4 stars because I haven’t really tried all the other meals, and also there’s always room for improvements!

Drive through pick-up is a plus. Words to the wise: Don’t make notes on your online order! They won’t get it until much later. Pearl, working the counter, was great. She was slammed with a drive-up customer, two phone customers and myself, a slightly irritated costumer having to wait an extra 20 minutes for her order. Pearl handled it with grace and aplomb. She was very apologetic about the online mix-up. We love their Bobba Tea. The teriyaki bowls are not quite as good as I remember though. I was a little disappointed. Meh. Less veggies, no broccoli. The orange chicken part of it was good. Actually, that’s all I ate of my bowl. Plus they don’t serve udon noodles anymore. I loved those. So probably would have rated it a 3 based on the teriyaki bowl, but gave it a 4 because of the Bobba Tea and the good service.

The bubble tea was really yummy. The veggie fried rice was good but I just wish it had more veggies and not just so plain. Panda Garden has amazing veggie fried rice. I do plan on going back to try something new.
