First off I’ve been eating Haps for 15 years. Haven’t been down this way in the last few years cos of Covid and just don’t drive down that way much anymore. Got the super beef 3-way add lettuce onion tomato pickle. Fantastic. Rare beef, nice and thin, lots of sauce, an absolute mess. Glad to see they still make fantastic roast beef sandwiches. I’m in the north shore once a week and it’s nice to have a place up here that can throw its hat in the ring. Keep it up, I’ll make sure I put an effort in to get over there more often!

After reading some conflicting reviews about the quality of food and price per portion after the change in ownership, I had to try it out and I’m glad I did. While it is not better than my favorite North Shore beef, it is a very good sandwich (definitely not dry) and the amount of beef that is served is perfect. Anyone complaining about the price for how much food you get is being unreasonable, and I paid the slightly marked up price through a delivery app and still thought it was fine (I got the super beef and didn’t even finish the whole thing!). Seems like people don’t like change and will have one fluke meal and conclude that it must be a problem with ownership. I thoroughly enjoyed the beef, and the fries, and would order from here again.

Worth the 44 miles. The super beef was hands down the most best roast beef sandwich I ever had. The roast was so tender and literally melted in my mouth. And how they grilled the bun was excellent. It had a great crisp while cutting. Also while eating, was very pleasant tasting. Had mine a 3 way (Mayo, cheese, BBQ) very tasty all together. Tried the homemade fried pickles with the Cajun ranch, which was very good too. Also for the first time had fried ravioli, and I could eaten those all day. Even with the dipping tomato sauce for dipping tasted home made, not out of a jar. My son had a kids cheeseburger that was far bigger than a kids cheeseburger. I also tried poutine fries which I have been dying to try, and they were very yummy…I even bought the stuff to make then at home. All around great food. I can’t wait to go back, bc I’m dying for a super beef again.

Hap’s is a go-to for me. Their roast beef sandwiches are stellar. They also make decent subs of all types. Their fries are very good, not great but good. They offer fried apps, the best being fried feta cheese. They dole out large portions of these and sadly they don’t reheat well and the coating is a bit sandy. So I stick with the subs and sandwiches, but I tend to avoid the appetizers.

Its been about 5 years since I went to Haps. Last time there was very disappointing. Dirty tables. Rude cashier. Cold roast beef and major attitude when I asked for extra sauce, lol! Decided I’d never go again. But yesterday I was in that neighborhood and went in to grab a meal. I’m so glad I did. The place is totally different. Apparently its under new ownership now and that really shows. The tables and floor are clean. The roast beef sandwich was nice and warm. No problem with extra sauce. . Fries were perfect. A totally different experience. Haps serves Greek roast beef and sauce sandwiches typical of Boston’s North Shore. And once again they’re doing it perfectly!
