The burgers were hot but tasted over done, like they had been steaming all day…just fell apart. Fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. They are usually really good. Miss the hot dogs and curly fries that they no longer sell.

This goes to the Hardee’s at the Home Mountain exit in Asheville. That chicken biscuit was the bomb. I don’t know if it was the chicken or the biscuit. All I can say it was the best I ever had.

I can see why Hardee’s is dying – slowly, but dying. And it’s not the employee’s fault! This Hardee’s had run out of most everything and the truck wasn’t due till the next morning. The Angus burger was just awful – not really because it had to be, but I think because the employees are beaten down. Instead of French fries, which they were out, I got onion rings cooked in oil that should have been changed at least two days earlier. I’m a chef so I understand these issues, but it’s not an excuse to let Hardee’s Corp to get a pass. This Hardee’s never has anybody in it and I bet it closes soon unless higher ups go way over the top to bring it back. I won’t give it another try, instead stopping at Wendy’s, McDonald’s or Five Guys.
